YouTube embed on BMR?

I see that we can embed videos in our BMR posts.

When I write a 150 post I include 1 link + the YouTube video embed.

I'm wondering then if the YouTube embed has the same effect as if I were to just put a link back to the video?

I want to get backlinks to my video. So is embedding a video equivalent to having a URL/link to the video?

    Great question...

Give a shot, I'm curious to know if you can BMR Youtube videos as well. Even if they are not inbed, you should still get a backlink from the root URL.

So if they are embedded that equals as a backlink to the video?

I would assume so if the embed video link is to your video. It seems natural that video would get a backlink as well as your url. I wonder how many times bmr would approve your posts with the same video though.

A link to a video is useless. It's exists in cyberspace, and the "page"
it is on in youtube is created dynamically on the fly. You
are really making backlinks to youtube.com.

You want to make backlinks to your youtube channel. Now
      that is a real webpage.

Also, the embed is great because it will have a chance to
pump up your views, and, people may click it to go to
your video on youtube. IMHO, google may give a little
oomph to each embed, but I can't prove that.

If you were disappointed in your results today, lower your standards tomorrow.

I think it does matter. I am trying to rank a YouTube video in Google. So I'm pretty sure a backlink to a YT video matters.
