SEO/IM Mentor Wanted--WILL WORK FOR FOOD

This is me holding up a "will work for food" sign. If an IM pro sees this post, please get in touch with me. I'm new to IM/SEO and have been running in circles the last couple of weeks trying to straighten out a hundred different opinions that often contradict each other. I just want to learn some best practices from someone who is making decent (2-5k a month) money with niche adsense sites or large money sites selling affiliate products.
If anyone reading this fits that description please contact me and I'd be happy to work for advice. It just so happens that I have 6 months to kill so I can spend massive amounts of time doing free work (article writing, blog commenting, profile creation, pr releases, etc) for brief mentoring here and there.
