Hi Everyone

I was hoping that you might be able to give me some advice for SEO on a lawn care site.

The lawn care company is based in the UK.

It is owned by 3 men who are all self employed but share the same website and company name covering a wide area in the North East of England.

Due to their geographical location they border 3 counties which includes 3 cities.

I would be very grateful if you could give me some advice about how to choose the keywords for the site due to the complicated location of the 3 owners.

Do I target keywords for each of their locations or just for the North East area as a whole?

If you have any tips or suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Thank you very much.

Wendy

you should target each city and country first and for the long term "north east of england"

imagine you are looking for someone on google
would you type in "lawn care company north east of england" or "lawn care city" when you live in a city?

    hope this helps

You research which keywords are getting the most searches.

Those are probably what you want to target first.

Target the main keywords without location, or country or city.

Let the owners decide who is going to take the job when the inquiries come in about a specific location or area. They might have to higher other people to work for them to cover those areas.

Hi and thanks very much for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it very much.

Mike, I think you mis-read my message because I didn't mention taking money from anybody to do their SEO. I was asking for advice to pass on and know that the Warrior forum is where the experts hang out.

It is a bit confusing because of their location - the 3 men each cover a different county in the North of England - and is causing them a headache, especially as they are competing against national franchises.

Mike, do you or anybody else know who might want the job of helping with their SEO?

      Many thanks

I did misread that then, and I apologize.

        Wendy, thanks but no thanks.

In the past, I've found lawn care providers to be awful clients. Lots of feast and famine in their line of work, which usually means they rarely pay consistently.

I'm sure someone else will swoop in and be interested though.

          Hi Mike

LOL! I don't just think it's Lawn Care People. It's a growing problem!!

          Thanks for your comments though.

In the meantime, if anybody has any tips I would love to hear them.

Or if anyone would like to take this on themselves I would love to hear from them too.

          Many Thanks

I would target all 3 individual areas & forget the North East area as a whole. The reason is, a customer in city-A most likely could care less about city-B & city-C as long as a lawn care business exist in city-A.

Break the SEO down to city/zip level. That would be my short term plan If I was in your situation.
