Actually for press release first you will submit press release and it will be approved by the admin of that site, only if the content will informative. If this will happen then you can insert anchor in the content also.

There are rare chances to put anchor links in the body of a press release. Actually, press release sites are not for building backlinks but for spreading the news and generally they allow only one reference to the site in the footer section.

Spend the $25 and use webwire. The free press release sites are terrible and a huge waste of time.

There is a List of Free Press Release sites on my blog also. Feel free to refer to that.

Keep sending out press releases - they work. I speak from experience.

Blog actively at Bloggerkhan.com. I continue to be a student of internet marketing and am fascinated by how different people use the same tools to get different results. I also do reviews -often because I can't find a good review elsewhere.

Just seen your list and this could not have come at a better time for me. I just been learning more about press releases in a training module from The Complete Guide to Traffic. (http://www.completeguidetotraffic.com) so I can start using them to promote my website.
