hey guys so i am thinking to get a website and rank it on google uk here are some stats
DOMAIN EMD with suffix s
results when keyword quoted example "Keyword" =762,000
All in title = 58,700
All in url = 40,200

Website on position 1 for keyword : PR:2

Website on position 2 for keyword : PR:2

Website on position 3 for keyword : PR:3

Website on position 4 for keyword : PR:2

Website on position 5 for keyword : PR:2

According to seo quake

Back links to URLS & Domains <20

What are your thoughts can i beat these competitors

And all of them domains are aged domains

I am ok with PRs and back links but kinda scared of search results and domain ages ? what you think will i be able to domainate this keyword ? i know its hard to say but from above info what do you think should i go for it or not ? and how much time it could possible take to get 1rst ranking ?

Thanks in advance KJ

None of this nonsense has anything to do with the level of the competition you face.

You need to analyze the top 3 sites. That's it. You want to check their onpage factors and their internal links. Those things will play a role in how hard they are to beat, but mainly, you want to understand their link profile and the quality of their backlinks. If you can do better than they have, then go for it.

Remember there are other factors to ranking high....

Backlinks, sure. But that's less and less important in the eyes of google.

Your pages unique content, bounce rate, domain age, quality of backlinks, keyword relevancy, backlink anchor text relevancy, load time, etc., etc.,

People try to simply SEO to the magic bullet — backlinks — my experience says that's it's more complex than that.

I'd do some spyglass work as well and if everything checks out i'd go after top spot hard. actually doinggthe same thing right now in the wedding niche. it's taking some work but worth it in the end.

Get authority backlinks to your site, Find some quality EDU blogs or Gov sites, relevant to your niche and comment on them.

Get your content shared often by offering some incentives for readers.

Get your readers to stay longer on your site by adding polls, videos, ask them to comment. These kind of little changes are getting more important for Google now than a super- optimized post.

Spy on their links and plant their too
Get quality backlinks that are dofollow link submitting articles on social web 2.0 blogs.. They are indeed helpful in your SERP results.

Huh! In my experience, all your competitor is really weak. Only PR2 and 3, It is very easy for you to beat them.

you just need some small amount of high pagerank backlink to beat them.

you need to analyse the links they have with the anchor text you are targeting. Looking at the pr of the pages those links are from, the obl of those pages etc.

Just wanted to point out that if by this you mean your domain matches the term but with an extra s at the end, that's not an EMD. It may be an EMD for the term including the s, but it's not an EMD for the term without the s.
