You need to do it right, to get right way! Try to post informative blogs and share each in social medias plus bookmark each of it to at least top 10 bookmarking sites. I would like to tell you that I did something similar for my blog and within a week I got 500 unique visitors which kept on visiting along with 125 daily new visits. I have mad just two post in my blog and it got PR 0 from n/a. Though I did something similar for my other blogs too but didn't got same results and so I checked each of them properly and compared with the one getting good visitors, I found out that it is the content and especially the title that users are coming to my blog, even for few days without I found my blog listing on 3rd page of Google SERP. I have just posted two blogs and till now I haven't posted any more. Visit other blogs that are also on your same niche. Leave some comment on their recent post and leave a link going to your blog. so they can visit or check your page too.

Find keywords that are relevant to your blog using the google keyword tool (be signed into gmail to get more suggestions) make a list of them and create articles around keywords or groups of highly related keywords, then build links to those articles with the proper anchor text.
