    Welcome!

Be careful of information overload! We all hit that wall in the beginning and it can be frustrating...

You have to figure out what it is you really want to do. There are so many options available that it can be overwhelming sometimes.

A good starting point for beginners is building niche websites. Here is an overview of the process:

1.) Keyword research - find 8-12 keywords that are all related with 1 being an exact match domain ie buyplasmatvsdotcom
2.) Register domain and set up nameservers for your host (hostgator baby plan with a dedicated ip is good)
3.) Install wordpress on your server
3.) Install/Configure your plugins and theme
4.) Write 1 750+ word articles for each keyword
5.) Post articles in wordpress and do onpage seo
    6 Get indexed
7.) After 2 weeks pass start building link to your domain and pages.
8.) When you make the first page place Adsense on your site. If your product is available on amazon you can sign up for an amazon associate account and start recieving 4% of ever sale. You would want to add amazon links while posting your content in step 5.

I didn't go into detail because information on each one of those individual processes is readily available on this forum. I hope this helps!

Hi J0hnnycl1ckz, I have completed steps till Point 6, the site is configured with some unique content, Is it ok to share the Website Link here ?, I have identified a Niche which has around 50-60 k local searches as identified by Google adword tool, and the competition is low, ( I don't even know if that matters)
How do i start building links ? any reading that you might suggest.
Forum's backlinking or Article submission what are the pro's and con's

      Thanks.

Most members wouldn't share a site they intend to use to make money. You risk clickbombing (when someone repeatedly clicks on an AdSense ad to try to get you banned) or copycats!

A keyword with 50000 local searches is quite high for a beginner.

"Low" Google AdWords competition means that there aren't many advertisers for that keyword, which suggests that the CPC will be relatively low. That is, if you are only intending to monetize the website with AdSense.

Thanks, thats exactly why i did not share, but at the same time i would like to hear from the experts in the forum how Am I doing ? and where am i lagging..

Your inputs are very useful, You are right may be i should start from 20-30 K local searches to begin with,
how do i write good content, I mean what i am writing is original but i don't really understand the concept of good writing, and then link building is what i am not good at.

I am glad i have good expert help.

I am not yet an expert, but I think it is wise to take the long view. Note how the 40-day challenge is not the 40-minute challenge.

Business is a marathon, not a sprint.

It sounds like you need to learn how to do proper keyword research. Just knowing the amount of local searches is not a good way to do research. It wont matter if your keywords have 20-30k searches if you cant rank for them in Google.

I would say that this is the first thing you should learn how to do, it is very important and if you don't know how to do it properly you could spend ages building a site that is useless and hundreds of pages deep in Google.

I am just curious why 50000 local searches is considered to high, I thought the name of the game was to find as many local searches as possible with low competion so you can rank on the first page of google easily? The more the better isnt it?

If a keyword has an EXACT MATCH (not broad, EXACT) local search volume of 50,000 you can bet there are a TON of people competing to rank well for that term.

Anyway advice for newbs (welcome by the way) is to THINK FOR YOURSELF.

Don't take what people say here to be truth. Read as much as you can and take everything with a grain of salt.

Internet marketing is about split testing and trial and error.

There is a lot of good advice here and also a ton of bad advice too.

Only way to succeed is to find out for yourself what works and what does not.

I have no experience on one on one coaching, but I think it is worth trying. My advice for you is, keep trying and do not be afraid of any failure.
I'm not a warrior and still finding my right track, but I believe in these words:
"Doing nothing is worse than doing it wrong".

One great piece of advice is to Join the War Room here at Warrior Forum. It is a paid membership and there are great benefits to it.

Just learn as much as you can about nothing but correct keyword research and find a niche.

After that, build a site using that keyword and learn everything else as you go.
