You should see it from the positive side. Everyone that opts in to your squeeze page can be marketed to more than once. If you send all your traffic to the offer directly, it's gone. You're not building anything long term without capturing the traffic for yourself.

What you can try is adding a "no-thanks" button to the squeeze page that leads to the offer. That might lead to noone opting in anymore, though.

Is this a pre cursor to a wso ? .02c a click that 1.50 for 75 eyes on your cb offer / cheaper than peanuts in a back lane city cinema, now loosing 75% of traffic you then ask is that traffic targeted ? now from what you said it is not, so if 3 out of 4 clicks have no use your now paying .08c per effective click.

There is no such thing as cheap clicks in the raw term of those words, there are profitable clicks and non profitable clicks and that will be a better way to word it.

People (not you) might say they get cheap clicks ? what the jolly is that, if a click costs .02c and spend those day and night to get traffic I may spend $10 - $20 or more before I know it and not get a conversion, or i might send targeted clicks @ say .30c and get a 1 / 10 conversion or $3 per sale, now no sales @ $10 (.02c a click) or sales $3 (.30 a click) makes the .02c a click now quite expensive in regards your bottom line.

OK from what you have written i would say the traffic is rubbish and likely getting a helping hand along the way by the Internets wonderful fairy helpers, but to further answer your question, there was a test I seen done here where people sent people straight to the sales / checkout page / and it produced better results, so over the same time period / split out a new test and check results.

Lastly playing with adwords and clickbank will only result in tears when giggle find the links and suspend your account for life / just a heads up is all.

well i decided to do a test. so i paused it at 583 visitors and then changed to link directly to the sales letter.

then i turned it back on and am letting it run to 1166, which will be 583 for each method. hope to have some type of conversion.

my question is if clickbank stats are 3 hours behind, does it still show sales in real time?

anyway i will stop adwords at 1166 and see if there are any results and which method if either was profitable.

not to reveal any of my method but i am targeting make money online niche so that combined with my ad sthat the users are clicking on, i am hoping that is targeted enough.

something funny about this campaign that i have noticed is i have one keyword with a 200% CTR. how the heck is that? LOL i have several keywords with 100% CTR and plenty from there to 0.

also whats wierd is that i am not even split testing my ads, just using 1 ad group, 1 ad, and a crap load of keywords hehehe

EDIT: well I added another ad goup with a slight variation of the first ad that i was using. i stuff both ad groups with more keywords also. i believe these ads are written in a way that anyone who clicks on them, no matter what they were searching for, is targeted to "make money online" niche. hoping this traffic converts!

ok well im not sure if anyone cares but I have woken up to find i got 1,300 clicks yesterday and already today have gotten 1500 clicks.

what upsets me is that clickbank is still not showing more than 33 hops for today.. they are showing last night's but hardly none for today at all... wtf??

I am pausing everything since I have already spent about 60 bucks and will be letting the dust settle to see results (if any) - i have a sick feeling in my stomach that i wasted those clicks by sending them directly to the affiliate link. who knows, maybe i will go back to using the squeeze page first that way at least i can follow up with some of this traffic later on!!

So many things here so let's start from the top.

130 out of 583 clicks is a 22% conversion rate. That's pretty good in my mind, especially since you say it's a squeeze page. I think I read once that 20% is pretty good.

75 out of 130 made it to the page you're promoting. That's more than 50% which is pretty darn good.

Yes, in my opinion you should send directly to the product's page in the first place. Take out the "middle man" as it were. Much better this way. Yes, I know you want to collect emails. But you have to consider if that's more valuable than making a commission.

Problem is, sounds like you are going about it all wrong. First, I gather it's a straight squeeze page. Google and most people don't like that. You'll get poor quality scores for that and as you're finding out, only a certain percentage get to see the real sales message instead of the whole 100% who click your ads.

Next, in your own words, you are using a crapload of keywords. Use relevant keywords to what you're selling. You'll get more quality traffic that way. You also say it's make money online stuff. That's just too vague and everyone is doing this niche so good luck. Another thing too, you better make darn sure the landing page follows Adwords policies, something I doubt in this niche that it is, if you're going to send clicks directly. And make sure that if it does follow policies, that it will continue to do so.

About 200% CTRs, that happens sometimes. At this point, I'm guessing you are checking your stats every minute. There's no point of that since stats are not real time and not all are updated at the same time. The clicks may be updated before the impressions, hence the weird looking 200%. Try a sale on no clicks. I've seen this because the click was judged fraudulent but the visitor still bought. Free click and infinite ROI. Nice although it does messes up your stats.

Finally, test more than one ad at a time. Not three, two.

You have and have not wasted money. You have because you did things the wrong way (I don't want to say stupid way but the truth and reality). You haven't because hopefully, you have learned something. Unfortunately, you may have damaged your account (meaning you may get banned in the future) if the landing page violated policies.

Well it seems my experiment is a fail and have not seen a single sale despite driving over 3,000 clicks.

Some i drove to squeeze page and some i drove to the sales page.

I generated a list of only 400, and only about 10% or less are actually reading my follow up emails.

I would suggest to anyone wanting to try PPC to have a HUGE BUDGET FOR TESTING as it will COST YOU A FORTUNE!

Lastly, i think my major mistake was not buying better targeted traffic. Maybe then I would have gotten at least 1 sale by now geez!

2 cent adwords click = who cares if you can't convert!?!?

To be fair a lead is costing you less than $0.09 you just need to improve your sales funnel.

Also direct linking to Clickbank products from Adwords is a quick way to get your account banned.
