Please Review my custom Article Directory

well done. It seems a great article directory. I will recommend it to the people if it really provides some good results. You can see how we have to be focused and succinct to choose an article directory for submission after evaluating its various features.

Not bad at all, but I agree with above users the font is a bit of a headache.

I eventually started my article directory an year back, it was making me anywhere from 5-10 dollars a day until i totally got it redesigned by a developer and added many more features.

Problems i had:

1- Too much spam when people get to know the blog ( I use to manually check each article so it became a pain after i started getting 5k submissions a day! Obviously all from bots and software's!) It became so hard that i started auto approving all articles resulting in duplicate post etc etc.

2- When my articles crossed the 60k mark, got a message from godaddy and my site was responding every 1 min to load and most of the time gave internal server error.
My site was down for exactly 25 days resulting in great loss and after that i have just worried about not letting my site go down, stopped author submission, manually and with the help of plugins deleted articles ( Which was a pain ).

3- You need need an editorial staff, once people start to know you are an auto approve directory, the will put your site in every software available in the market.

The goods-

1- Free content (But i guess it benifits both, the webmaster and the one writing/spinning the article)

2- Gd click through ( Low cpc, but that works)


However it is very very hard to handle an article directory in the later stages, it is absolutely not impossible, after the chaos i had, my site is still in the process of being done completely, closed registerations at the moment and will have a paid membership useless user profiles (Have over 200k!).

You will need a great great spam protection like Ezine articles! (That's why you never see that ezinearticles is an option to put in softwares as they have great spam protection.

I have also outsourced a software (very expensive) that will auto approve articles, the software will check,
1- Any grammatical errors = auto reject
2- copied= Will send spiders and checked if it's copied= auto reject \
3- Bad paragraph structuring = auto reject

If everything is right it will auto approve it, alot of money spent on this and this was just made by a local expert in my country and is yet to be tested by me.

The thing that will attract people to your directory is your pr, the pr is most important to people who submit their articles to article directories ( I hate sites being judged on pr, but that's how it is with article directories )

Your designs fairly good, will just check out by registering and it's features!
