Which domain name is the best?

My main keyword as a domain name has already been taken. But I have the option of purchasing either Y[keyword] or [keyword]king. For example, ylifecoaching.com, or lifecoachingking.com

I have been told that the closer a domain name is to the keyword the better (for SEO and ranking purposes), but does it really make that much difference, because I really prefer lifecoachingking.com.

I believe that the keyword domain suffix with king provides a better branding opportunity because in my opinion it is easy to remember, etc.

    Yes, you are right. (keyword)x.com is also good.

  • Hey. If you feel ending the domain with KING is the way to go, then go for it.

    I have some domains with a prefix and suffix and both rank. So I would suggest pick whichever one you feel most comfortable with.

  • I usually try to use a suffix and end with strong target keywords, but in this case the "king" at the end looks like it may work better..Best of luck either way!

  • I would go with the "king" suffix. The "y" prefix doesn't look so appealing.

  • The word you use in domain names should have some meaning. This way people can remember it easily. In your case 'king' as suffix will work better. If you want to use prefix the it should be like 'i' (for internet) or 'e' (like in e-mail) etc. rather than just random word like 'y'.

  • i prefer to add a suffix over a prefix anyway. Not only that, in your situation 'king' sounds much more appealing and will look more professional.

    In terms of SEO, i think its only a slight advantage if you have the exact match keywords anyway.
