adsense account suspended or banned?

i build a site in 2010,and i use it to apply for adsense account,and it got approved.but in 2012 i don't want this site anymore,so i want to shut it off.but will disappearance of my site cause my adsense account getting banned ?

  • Absolutely not. The only reason Google bans adsense accounts is if it goes against their policies. Shutting down your site is fine

    • No it will not get you banned. I have not used the original site that I applied for adsense with in years. I let the domain name expire and removed the ads from it and just went on with building other sites.

  • Excuse me for the question, but... If you shut down your site, are you going to work with Adsense?
  • the only reason google would ban your account is if you violate there terms of service
