Question about backlinking articles

I tried to do a search on the forum for this as I am sure this question has been covered but I couldn't find the answer. Anyway, the question is: When you backlink articles that you have written (ezine, goarticles etc), do you use the same anchor text you have on the article pointing to your money site or do you mix it up or what do you suggest?

Thanks

    Give it a good mix.

You might benefit from learning about LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing).

Target your main keyword and ensure the majority of your backlinks have that same anchor text, but add in "relevant" keywords and long tail related to that target keyword.

Not only will that all flow through to the website you are trying to rank in terms of SEO, but you might find you actually get REAL traffic from the long tail too.

    Best,
    Steve

Maybe I am misunderstanding your response or maybe my original question was unclear but it appears that the response you gave me was for properly formatting my articles to backlink to my website. I want to know about backlinking to the articles themselves--basically backlinking to my backlinks so I avoid any google penalty. When doing that, do I still mix up the keywords or use the same jkeywords as in my anchor text on the article itself? Thanks

I would mix it up with other closely related phrases/other potential keywords mentioned in your article. If you're sending out identical anchor text's for every link you create I think that would seem artificial in the eye's of the search engines. I've always paid others to do this and they've asked for multiple keywords, but I would think the same concept applies as with links to my money sites...diversification!

Spin your articles when submitting to multiple article or blog directories. It's no use to submit a duplicate one ..
