Aged doman OR kw specific domain?

So im about to do some local SEO for a client, thing is they already have a dreadful website but it is aged almost two years. There is no SEO at all for the site ( backlinks , on page, etc). The site is in WP format and the key words arent too competitive.

Should I stick w the aged domain or trash it and start fresh w keywords in domain name? thanks

    Two years is barely anything, I could get something awful like sihdg80wey4t8hf08qyerth8093y.biz and sit on it for 2 years and it would not make a blind bit of difference, keywords that are easy to remember are always better.

    The reason why people have a preference to aged domains (7-10 years at least) is because generally speaking they have acquired backlinks and natural or "made" traffic.
