Hi warriors,

I built my first micro niche site and I ran into a problem. I'll be quick.

I did me SEO research (6 mo worth) trying to figure out google and feel like i'm onto their scent like flies on a monkey. Well here's the problem..

Day 1 - registered my site

Day 4 - on page 5 of google

Day 5 - on page 2 (spot 1)

Day 7 - on page 1!!! (10th ranked for keyword)

Day 11 - its gone!!!

I didn't get banned, did change anything I was doing, kept the same momentum... what gives?!

my site is powerchordschart dot com

if anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated...

you warriors are the best!!! You always seem to help me out of a jam

thanks!

has your site been gone from the first page for a while? you may want to give it a couple days and see where your site is then. Your site may be experiencing what many call the "Google Dance."

New sites tend to jump all over the place at first.

What kind of onsite and offsite SEO are you doing?

The Google Dance. It will do that again. Just keep adding new content and adding links and you will eventually find your true rank. If you are furhter than page 1 just keep doing what I mentioned and you will rank higher each week or so.

I had sites rank #1 for 4 weeks, then go to page 5 for 3 weeks then settle in at #3 for 6 months.

Google might have noticed that you're overdo'ing the keyword "power chords chart." I mean, it's the title of your blog, every blog post, every <h1> tag and every time it's mentioned in a post (a ton), it's in bold font.

That method worked 5-7 years ago when niche sites were BOOMING but Google has wised up a lot since then. They probably saw that you were plugging that term too much and not using any LSI or related keywords near as often.

My guess is that you won't see yourself at the top again unless you add more quality, unique content and chill out when using that keyword.

Yeah its still gone , however if i "site:mywebsite" search, i get a bunch of pages.

First blog post was on the 13th of FEB, page 1 on 20th of FEB, and lost on the 22nd.

The thing is, i didn't change anything (my tactics), so how can a site be doing so good then all the sudden get "kicked" like that?

Offsite i've been building a few backlinks on my other sites and a few do-follow blogs, what about buying fiverr backlink gigs? Know of a good one or a better way to build them?

Yeah i know i've been using it a ton. I'm actually exactly copying what a friend told me to do, he has an ebook where in 39 days, he was #1 on google for his keyword with similar competition etc. He did this back in june of 2011. He is still ranked #1 for his site and he hasnt put up a blog post since like july. I know panda recently came out, but I thought it came out before he built his site and not after.

I guess the part that gets me is that in 7 days I was on page 1 spot 10! Thats pretty good im guessing/hoping The problem is i was doing the same exact tactic and all the sudden "houston.... we have a problem".

I think what i'm gunna do is, keep the tactic up for 39 days. If i'm still banned rethink things, totally delete the content and site up there. And then make about 1/10 the content on there right now where it will all be money and no filler.

This was my micro niche site test, to see if i could make some money doing it. I don't know if its such a great idea now. I hear people on here all the time talk about how they have 60-200 micro niche sites... How do they make soooo many and get ranked well? To get ranked well you gotta constantly update right? That's alot of work!!!

      Sheesh!!!

Thanks to : robchapman, dminorfmajor and rd1265 for the help so far!! you guys have helped me more than you know... thank you
