Unsolicited - Matt LaClear. I use him for all my SEO and have had pretty good results. They may have used to be better, perhaps, or maybe it's something I've changed on my part... but indeed the rankings do increase, pricing is affordable, and it's completely hands-off on my end.

    I agree with resellcells.

Matt has a pretty good name and his team do actually get back to you within 24 hours.

There are others here that can offer you some good stuff, but you are best to go with the ones that have good comments.

I would say Matt LaClear as I have got my 2 of sites to page one using his backlinking - but - this week my sites that used his backlinking went missing (both of them), no longer to be found on Google (not de-indexed but not in the top 10 pages), so im not sure whats happened there. I know Google have just done an update so im not sure if its someting to do with that

Stop using any backlink schemes for right now and wait and see how this new Google update pans out!

I have been very happy with Matt LaClear's service but I think his service may have been targeted by Google and my main money site that was on page 1 due to his great SEO Services has now been banished - for ALL Keywords - to the far back pages of Google.

I went from page 1 to page 33 overnight and I am about 99.9% certain this was due to Matt's sites being punished, thus mine losing all it's link juice. But it's more than that. I was not that far back BEFORE using Matt's services so now I am 5 TIMES FURTHER BACK than I was, so I think Google specifically gave MY site the boot as well simply for using Matt's services. I can't prove it but why else would I have been kicked SO far back?

So I would not use ANY backlinking services until this new update gets sorted out. Most experts are saying to not DO anything right now, just wait and see what happens. Frankly I think Google made a huge error because this update - while it's stated purpose was to get rid of spammy sites - has actually caused spammy sites to rise to page one in replacing sites like mine that is a great site (not just me saying so, I've had confirmation from long time IMers on this) full of content got totally slapped down and I was making $1000/month with one site and now I expect to make close to 0 this month because I'm getting no traffic now. When you're on page 33 for your main keyword there isn't much hope.

My only hope is that Google sees the error of its ways and kills the Penguin!

So keep an eye on Matt's WSO's and maybe - I say maybe - use them in the future but right now the big G is probably keeping an eye on his sites or at the very least it is clear they have de-valued many of his link farms or blog networks or whatever you want to call the places he builds links for you.

I certainly will consider using his services again but maybe not for my money site, rather only for sites pointing back to my money site.

Meanwhile try other ways of marketing: Facebook, Twitter, list-building, Pinterest, Google+, etc.

I would say "Always experiment with link building services with non-money sites first, then if they work, maybe build links to sites that point to your money site but it's too risky I think to rely on link building to push your site to #1."
      IMHO.

yeah Im kinda unsure where to go now, ive had some articles written and im gonna stick them on ezine etc. as they are seen as 'good backlinks' but anything else I had planned is now on hold as i dont know what to do. i have a new site ready to go, but im not paying for back-links that do nothing for me.

Ummm... If you are nowhere to be found for all of your keywords, then I don't see what is so great about the service.

There is no doubt techniques like this were targeted. Google's post about the update specifically used an example of auto-spun unreadable content with unrelated links, which is the bread and butter of this service.

        Good luck recovering.

Its purpose was to get rid of sites using spammy SEO methods. In that regards, the update largely succeeded. (I'm not saying that there are not some cases of errors or sites getting hit that shouldn't have.)

Are there spammy websites ranking at the top of some searches now? Yes. But there were also a lot of spammy websites ranking at the top of some searches before this update. Nothing new.

If this was the case then every single one of our customers would have been hit which is nowhere near the situation, not even close. In fact a minority of them have been hit. Our stuff (which is constantly evolving) is still working.

We have drove in over 25 page one rankings for sites since the Penguin update. Using the same exact links you're saying no longer work.

You're saying our sites was punished? By whom?

If I were you I would check your on page seo before jumping to conclusions and making statements against our services.

I checked in our ticket system and didn't see any campaigns under your warrior name.

Edit: Not sure why people think we only provide blog network and article links. Those links are a very small percentage compared to the links we submit for clients.

        1. Why do you suggest people not to use any seo services? I don't know about the rest of the seo providers here on whether they do use their own services on their own personal site but I'm using my own service on my own site and my sites are perfectly fine together with my clients site (no complaints at all)

        2. I don't know who these "experts" you are referring to are but from what they told you, these "experts" are those "seo gurus" who just spam their subscribers with affiliate links on every email they send out, providing near-useless content.

How are you so certain our sites were punished in the first place let alone that this "punishment" caused your sites to tank? If you think your site was "specifically" targeted all you have to do is file a reconsideration request. They'll tell you that they don't consider them for sites hit due to an updated algorithm. Why? Because you weren't hit with a manual slap but were affected by the algo update.
So I would not use ANY backlinking services until this new update gets sorted out. Most experts are saying to not DO anything right now, just wait and see what happens.
You should PM me your site and I can give you some suggestions on what you should do. Just depends on when your site tanked.

I think a lot of what happened was due to on page factors negatively affecting sites. When Google rolled this out a blank (practically) blogger page was ranking #1 for "make money online". It has great backlinks for sure but it also had zero negative on page factors. No forms, no affiliate links (unmasked) no keyword in meta descriptions, no meta keywords. They have most likely manually removed the site from the SERPS out of embarrassment.

Matt LaClear has an attractive looking service. I used it for my main site, which got to slot 3 in a profitable little niche.....on the monday before the Penguin update -.-.

It tanked, and has made a whopping 75 cents since then.

I don't know whether it was the Matt LaClear package or not.

So now google doesn't want keywords in the meta description? I'm so confused

      Sorry about that Arran.
Here is my little opinion about building back links and this has always worked.

If you have been doing SEO long enough then you should that its not wise to utilize 100% service of a company.

Everyone have their link building strategy, tools e.t.c
Making use of different companies will help you avoid heavy penalty/update from Google because you site does not 100% rely on the companies service.

I build back links myself and offer a few of them but still buy and also hire VAs outside mine to work for me.

Damn, is this a love and hate MattLaClear thread? LOL

I get clients who used Matts service before and told me it didn't rank them, I also have clients that I builded links for and that I checked the SERPS later and was like, damn, not much happened.

Thing is with seo and websites that you never know the history of a site and even with the history it can go wrong sometimes. I also used blog networks before (glad I abandoned them though) that had a negative effect on clients sites after the deindexing that took place. And now with the penguin update there are not many links left that are 100% safe.

Ofcourse there will always be seo providers who claim this is bull**** but first they forget that they work with budgets of $1000+/month and we work with $100 budgets. Secondly, rented homepage links can also HURT a website and I see many professional SEO companies (who charge big bucks) making use of that.

Right now after the Penguin update I am pretty satisfied with the services I offer and none of the links in my packages will hurt a site simply cause I have packages with tiered web2.0's, packages with a lot of diversity and small amount of links, and homepage links that are RELEVANT to your niche. That's a whole world of difference then homepage links at just some random site that has nothing to do with your topic.

Are you freaking kidding me??? You have 1000+ posts and 150+ thank you's and a member since 2008 and still NO CLUE about SEO / Linkbuilding at all and what kind of links get you penalized and which not. You embarrass the whole forum by suggesting that upper link. To quote some of their Platinum package (platinum LMAO)
      • 300 article directory links
      • 438 web 2.0 web profiles links
      • 19 press release links
      • 100 social network articles
      • 200 social bookmarking links
      • 850 forum profile links (Paul/Angela style)
      • 150 RSS feeds

Very hip to penguin to mass spam article directories (that penalize sites since 2010) / forum profile links (that don't work since 2008) and the most crappy bookmark sites that give ZERO value.

You should be ashamed of yourself by promoting this garbage type of services.

Well thank you for the "privilege" of being responded to, sir.

Instead of scolding others why don't you try adding something of value to the thread?

Cause I'm getting a little tired of summing up the same list that I already did to dozens of threads.

And instead of acting like a wise guy you can also start reading more then 1 thread to make an educated comment instead of believing the first person that you see posting here.

No wonder why 99% of the people fail in internet marketing. They just don't have the capability to think for theirselves.

He did offer something of value. He basically let you know to avoid crap link pkgs that include garbage profiles links, spam directories and bookmarks. Seems you are easily "offended" when put in your place. It was you who jumped in and called him a douchebag.

    ^^^ Whatever man.

First he said this to another poster who was at least trying to help:

"You embarrass the whole forum by suggesting that upper link"

    and this:

"You should be ashamed of yourself by promoting this garbage type of services."

And then when I asked a question of my own he replied with this:

"Wow are you even asking this question or are you just trying to make a joke that no one understands. "

This was all before I rightfully called him a douchebag.

TRYING TO HELP? To get sites penalized yeah!

And the question that you asked was the most <fill in yourself> question that I ever read on this forum.

I "dared" to ask if google penalizes for having your keyword in the meta description.

Please show me where you already explained the answer to this in this thread.

I was talking about the crappy links when I said that I explained it already, that's why I edited my post afterwards.

The question you asked doesn't require an answer cause you don't know how to see things in context (and in fact that already answers your question).

    I'm done here

Marc L stated: " It has great backlinks for sure but it also had zero negative on page factors. No forms, no affiliate links (unmasked) no keyword in meta descriptions, no meta keywords."

Maybe I'm not as smart as you but to me that implies having a keyword in the meta description is a negative seo factor, after all its stated in his list of negative factors.

I asked what I thought was a reasonable question, since having your keyword in the meta description is recommended in nearly every seo article I've ever read, plus its included as a recommendation in every wordpress seo plugin I've ran across.

So maybe for you, the answer to my question is common knowledge, but for me its not. I'm here as a newbie trying to learn from others, ask questions, and help if I actually know the answer to something (which I usually don't-hence newbie).

You on the other hand, at least in this thread, have offered nothing but a berating to those that don't think about seo like you, and haven't read all your other posts (in other threads) where you supposedly have already answered the topic of this thread.

      I'm done here.

Dude, you have to learn to see things in context. Of course putting a kw in a meta description is not a negative SEO factor, if so it would mean that a local electrician isn't allowed ot put "The most affordable electrician in Oakland". A human with half a brain would understand that Marc meant over-optimizing factors like kw stuffing and what not. That's why your question made zero sense.

Berating others? Maybe you could learn from the berating by reversing it, "if this is bad then that should be good". Wow it get's crazier every day on these forums, everyone needs to be spoon feed cause somehow they can't think for theirselves.

Have you tried pad submission? I have done this on my 10 websites, 5 clients websites and the result is always the same, Page 2 or 1 In Two Weeks Everytime....

I use automated tool with a success rate of 250+ and I also submit to 300+ pad sites manually... The result so far is powerful... I have websites with just 1 article right now on page 1 (7th position) in Google search with just that...

I have being doing this since march and it is Penguin and Panda proof...

If You're Afraid To Get Great Ranking This Is Not For You.....
$10 per-submission and I am willing to negotiate...

PM me if you want more information...

I have used nik0's service with good results. He's responsive and has a solid understanding of link building concepts. He also has a private network and is smart about how he uses it which is extremely valuable.

I have also used Tariq Ghazi's linkbuilding service and am happy with the customer service, links, and reports he delivers.

Link popularity building is an ongoing process where you have to continue link building even after reaching top ranks in search engines to retain that position, because other companies are also trying to get that spot. So if you don't continue with the link building process it may happen that you'll lost your rank after some days or months to some other companies.

At one point there was a service called "The Hoth" here, which I had great success with. I don't think they advertise here anymore but they have been at some of the conferences so you may have heard of them.
