    • If your like to get the rank in Google than nofollow keyword are not google.Because Google did not consider no follow keywords
  • It depends upon the authority of the domain, you get a link(no follow or do follow). For example, the links you get from Yahoo Answers are nofollow but they can bring a relevant and quality traffic to your site.
  • I agree with Ghazia.
Getting benefit from nofollow links depends upon domain authority. If a domain like 'Newyork Times' gives you a link, obviously it will be nofollow, but its domain authority will be considered by search engines. That will be beneficial for your website.
  • Yes Nofollow links are good for bringing traffic as well as it makes your site looks natural. For eg. if you have all dofollow links , google can consider your website spammy. So I suggest you to have both the links for your site (dofollow will help you majorly to gain SERP ranking).
  • Niche Based No Follow Links are quite effective and useful! No follow links are still useful for bringing quality traffic and increasing your site domain authority!
  • To make the backlinking campaign look natural/organic i always use 25%-30% no-follow links.

    • Right on. Not sure what a few of the guys here are on about saying no-follow links are useless. Diversity is best.
  • Correct, it depends on domain name. In fact nofollow links are useful and effective. Such as Yahoo answers.
  • But effect in ranking it is very slow. You can get better rank in search engine if you use dofollow link.
  • thanks for all of you
  • Google considers no-follow links too.
  • No-follow should always be part of your backlinking portfolio.
1000 PR7 Do-Follow backlinks all on there own would look
    highly suspicious.

Google does count no-follow but make sure they are coming
from relevant highly trafficked sites so you can pick up
click-thru traffic as well as the seo value for your sites.

    • Great answer. No-follow are a MUST in any link bulding campaign. I mean it's not because a link don't pass PR juice that it's not a good link. Google still consider them and they are needed to make a backlink profile more natural. Personally I don't really care about follow or nofollow links just like I don't give a **** about keyword density, my general rule of thumb is look natural and you'll be good to go for THE LONG RUN. Get 100% do-follow with your main keyword as the only anchor all going to your homepage and you'll get busted right away. Natural backlinks profile are the way to go! No numbers needed, just common sense really!

  • Many webmasters forget that EACH backlink (no matter it is do-follow or no-follow!) is beneficial for your website. Each one is just like a "vote" for your website
  • Adding no-following links allows your site to look more natural to Google.
It wouldn't be natural to have nothing but do-follow links.
  • Yep, I agree. To make any backlinking strategy look natural for Google never avoid no-follow links. Depending on keywords and competition, I usually add about 15%-20% no-follow links.
  • Yes they are important. Try to get mainly dofollow links with a smaller percentage of nofollow links to make your site look more natural for Google.
  • I mix nofollow and dofollow links, so it looks natural.
  • Anchor text and deep linking are both great ways to make your link building looks more natural, but nofollow links are also important so I'd definitely look at them too and I do use them in all my backlinks strategy. Preferably, you should focus on nofollow links that can bring you traffic and still give you value, but still nofollow links are important.
  • Yes I use a mix of different links to have a diversify portfolio. Looks more natural.
  • I read a great article the other day that ANY links are helpful. The authority of the site is super important. If you have 10,000 nofollow links from Reddit and Pinterest that may be better than some dofollow links from other places.

  • You will not get any advantage if you build back links in no follow sites.
  • yes No-Follow links effective Google never avoid no-follow links.....
  • In my opinion, i want to say that no-follow links are not beneficial for the websites coz they don't pass the juice from one site to other. This means no-follow links stop the crawlers to pass through them. They act as a blocker. they simply redirect you to the site.

But if there is huge traffic this might not be a big problem.
  • It is not good to have only just no-folow or folow links to your site. Just mix them and that will push you to first page.
  • Yes, no follow is just as effective as do follow imo

  • Do follow or no follow links important and add your ranking result but the technical difference between no follow or do follow is page rank.
  • Having a good diverse of links from no-follow and also followed link's will help you out! I have seen no follow links passing value even tho people say they don't. It depends if you got this links all at once or over time. i have seen when i get links from no-follow over time they seem to pass value but when i have done it where i got 400 no follow links all at once to see what happend and i dropped rankings for about 2 weeks on page 3... but over time.... rankings will increase due to building no followed links!!! That's just my experiences im sure many people will have different views!
