This website in question is a 4 page static website. I want to change the content on two pages and i want google to crawl them asap. Should i use pinging tools considering the fact that i've pinged those pages before now. What exactly should i do.

Update your sitemap and submit your sitemap to google webmaster tool, you can ping your sitemap and bookmark your webpages so your website can get index by search engines

Ping the pages again. Submit the pages to Digg and ping your bookmark submissions too.

If you have your sitemap xml setup correctly , it should take care of inviting search engine bots periodically. Other wise just try to ping your site using some free pinging services

Follow the below enlisted steps and then submit that page at social book marking platforms.

Set Up Web Master Tool -> Open Diagnostic Section -> Submit Your Web Page at Fetch as Google Bot -> and Then Submit to Index

That's it! Your Web Page will be crawled within 24 hours.

I think there is a revisit tag that you can set to 1 day, but that will take effect after the next crawl.
