Hey
Im a little bit confused about choosing my hosting company.
The website is for a business located in London and i have no idea if its makes any diffrent regarding to SEO if i will host my website in hosting company that located in USA.
Does it make any diffrent.
It will be more difficult to go up in the google search results if i will host it in a hosting company that locates in the USA?
For many reasons i perefer the USA company but im not sure if it will
Affect the work of promotion of the site???

Thanks!

I don't think it will affect for SEO. but if you want Google place listing, consider using hosting from same country.

Hostgator seems to be the most used, most respected, and most reasonable pricing, of all

I personally use cyberwurx, have been with them for years, The best customer service IMO around
I pay 6 bucks per month and change

You DEFINITELY want a host in your country.

Google and most other search engines take IP location into account when determining rankings.

Make sure your site is hosted in your country.

Since it's a business site, it won't matter
where your hosting is located as long it's
genuine host, that doesn't indulge in spam
    etc.

Location doesn't matter. You have tools such as Google Webmaster Tools that can target locations. This isn't 1995 anymore and se's are smarter than that.

Location of your host can affect the speed your site is delivered to your target audience. Not a scientific test but I just pinged 1&1 UK and USA from here in the UK and got an average of 34ms and 154ms respectively.

As it's a business site it's also worth checking what out of hours support you get - whether it's phone, email or a "wish and a prayer".

Somewhat true however, there's a misconception with ping repsonses. ICMP is hardly a reliable protocol and is generally treated as lower priority traffic, if it even reaches the server/switch/router etc. The response time isn't always a direct indicator of the performance of a website. Chances are, as website would load the same speed no matter if an ICMP reply was 40ms & 140ms.

I use WiredTree. I assume they are US based? Hmm, I guess I should look into that. I've found their hosting to be reliable though. I was previously with Host Gator and was down more often than I was up.

Yes, WiredTree is based out of Chicago, IL. They're a decent company as well.

I like hostgator as well, although I haven't tried tons of other hosting providers. I have tried at least 2 others, and hostgator was the best of them by far.

You should definitely use a server located in the region you're targeting. It's much better for site loading time, which is better for search rankings.

If you're targeting worldwide (like me), have a server in U.S. (biggest market) and use a CDN (Content Distribution Network) to serve up faster loading, local copies of the site around the world.

Media Temple and others are offering the free version of the CloudFlare CDN with standard web hosting (that's what I use).

BlueHost = HostGator = about 50+ "brands" = EIG companies = same host.
If you want a good host, stay away from EIG. Consider instead Site5, JagaruPC or Arvixe for unlimited.
Or better yet, Stablehost for non-unlimited.

Beyond that, they're nothing "SEO" about IP addresses.
    IP doesn't affect rank.
Don't piss away money for no reason on so-called "SEO hosting". It's snake oil.

Location of a hosting server won't affect much but if you managed to get hosting in the same location then it is good I would say.

And HostGator is really best, there is no doubt to it really.

Geo-location of your host is a factor, but one of many.

A bigger factor is the TLD to choose. If your target market is worldwide, opt for .com, .net or .org. This will allow you to choose a worldwide geo-targetted audience via Google webmaster tools.
