Tool to scrape meta descriptions and keywords?

Hi

I have landed a new SEO client with a big site (80+) pages designed a few years ago (by someone else) that has been keyword stuffed in meta descriptions and meta keywords. Is there a tool that will download meta title, decription and keywords for all the pages into a spreadsheet so that I can go through and edit page by page to create more relevant and less keywords and descriptions?

Maybe an idea for a product?

    I know a guy who developed a software that does just this. As far as I know, he isn't selling, but is using it to create site with thousands of pages that rank for various different keywords.

    I guess . try to go to Elance or Odesk. Maybe you can approach some warriors that can code those tools for you

    If it's a static web page, it won't be easy to change pages in bulk like that.

    However, there is a very excellent tool called Screaming Frog SEO Spider which will crawl and export the meta tags and descriptions for you. It can do up to 500 pages for free so it should work perfect for you.

    There isn't any automated tool to do this. You should do it alone (.. or of course hire anybody.. Just post in the specific thread!)

    Thanks Linkvana for the Screaming Frog SEO spider suggestion. I used it and it really is a great tool - it does a lot more than just capture meta descriptions. One thing to be aware of is that every possible combination of url counts to your free 500 so I used all of my free trial on one site (with about 80 pages but different combinations of url like domain/Default.aspx, domain/, and domain/default.aspx). Would like to have had a play with it on some other sites before buying.
