Dose building links to 301 redirect work?

hi warriors,

i ve never done this before, but really want to know you experience. i am going to do some link building to a domain name which is a 301 redirect to my inner pages. i want know,

what is the effect of doing it?

will it go up in the google serp?

will it help my money website?

    Yes it will work.

    Why not just link to the internal page? It will be easier and faster as not all the link juice flows through 301s.

    A lot of seos who work for others build most all links thru shorts urls - that they can re direct like a firehose on command ....

    it works - but the above is not a direct answer to your reply ....

    I think the strategy ive seen others deploy successfully is to gradually keep a small flow of links to the OLD url that you are 301'ing and building some links at the new pages. Use moderation here.

    if youre 301'ing an old url - it was likely because you penalised it ... think about that :-)
