Don't fear it. Build a site that contains good, quality content and even Panda 44.4 won't be a concern.

That's the best advice you can get, right there!

From what I've seen, Panda 3.3 wasn't as earth-shattering as other Pandas have been (more of just a refresh than anything else). The b est you can do to safeguard yourself against Panda is to put high-quality content on your site and update/add to it on a fairly regular basis (a blog is a great way to do this).

Even if this Panda update wasn't a huge game-changer, it's still a good reminder to find other sources of traffic besides just Google. If you can think of Google as giving you "bonus traffic", you won't get so scared of what's going on over at Google headquarters

As long as you're building quality content and quality links you should have no problem with the Panda. Also I always try to diversify my income streams so that one little thing doesn't cause my business to crash.

    Thanks for sharing this.

That bit about link evaluation stood out to me, shame Google haven't given much more of an explanation on this though. - All in all doesn't seem too extensive in comparison to previous updates.

Totally agree with MarHelper though, stick to natural link building and quality content and we should be ok

Nah, I'm not worried about it. As long as content and quality is good, it will survive all updates.

More emphasis on quality and relevance.

Fewer benefits from "getting round the system", buying "backlinking services", spinning and spamming, using software to try to "work the system".

Same old, same old ... to be fair, they have made it pretty clear that that's the continuing process of their updates. Nothing to worry about, in the broader picture, for people building businesses based on quality and relevance.

      I'm only guessing ...

      Very safe bet, there!

Yes alexa, a very good guess.

Its more about high quality and not blasting your site with fiverr gig backlinking stuff, and spinning articles and spamming everywhere you can find with software.

Do all this naughty stuff and google will sit in their chair all day and just flip the birdie at you.......

I think On page seo will be much more important than off-page seo (Backlinks) very soon.

Never ... On page is important but off page will always be required to set authority .... might see social aspects gaining strength but that is just a form of off page.

Yeah. there is too much abuse of backlinks. Google wants to stop that.

I meant google will pay great attention to content more than backlinks. I didn't mean all forms of off-page seo.

Google's number one objective os to provide its users with content that they are looking for. Keep providing your niche with relevant, usable, fresh content, and you should not have any worries. Unless part of your strategy is trying to "trick" Google into thinking you are relevant, then you are fine.

Build it and they will come. Though I think it would have to be really, really good to actually get that kind of response from most people.

Not at all. The last update Google did, all my sites rose significantly in Google rankings.

Probably because they got read of all the crap and the real sites that were made with quality content for real people to read got a big boost.

However, ranking well or not, I don't depend solely on Google for targeted traffic.

This is exactly what I am seeing with my sites. Whatever changed definitely benefited me.

Pandas really aren't a problem unless you live in China. If you live in the U.S, you only really have to worry about grizzlies. In Canada, you also have to contend with the occasional brown bear or kodiak.

But I wouldn't worry about pandas. Like everyone here says - good, relevant content will keep you on google's good side

    Nope. No fear here.

High quality content will endured despite what Google throws at it.

Poor quality content will sink to the bottom.
