Hi,

Just having my site converted over to Wordpress, and now I can name my pages properly.

Just wanted to get advice on how to do it. (I know this is just one piece of my SEO puzzle & will be hiring an SEO company after this is done)

We have a furniture business in Toronto.

The keywords I'd like to go after are "Bedroom furniture toronto"
And "Dining room furniture toronto" and "solid wood wood furniture toronto"

The URL looks like this now....

anne-quinn/category/dining-kitchen/dining-room-furniture-toronto

Should I get it shortened so it show up like this?

anne-quinn/dining-room-furniture-toronto

And if they click on a specific table it looks like this currently...

anne-quinn/products/grand-portman-pedestal-table

Should I change it to this?

anne-quinn/dining-room-furniture-toronto/grand-portman-pedestal-table

Maybe you can point me to a website that names their URL's well?

Thanks, Brian

I would go with this one ^^^

The reason is this, the category would be right for the area of the house, and the category like "living room" would go with living room stuff, etc.

Also, going with the type of furniture and area like you have done will help a great deal. As you don't want customers from Austrialia or New Zealand. Unless you want ot go into import and export?

    Hi,

Agree with George, strip the "/category/" and leave everything else. There are plugins that can do this automatically.
