I've been outsourcing my link building for a new site on oDesk for about 2 months now. After 2 months my Market Samurai reports is only showing 6 approved links to my domain so far. For the first month my outsourced worker was basically doing directory submission and profile link building. Performance seems really low.

Should I be giving it more time to get approved?
Should I be spending my budget on other types of link building aside from directory submissions and profile link building?
I just outsourced another person for social bookmarking and to get some EDU GOV links.
I have an SEO budget of about $800 a month for the next 6 months. Where should I best allocate it?
