Helping Buddy With Lifeguard Website

I helped a friend of mine a long time ago with learning to build websites, and he sort of lost interest in it over time.
He has a website called Free Lifeguard Certification Guide | Lifeguard Training & Lifeguard Certification
Sadly it lost the ability to have adsense on it, possibly because it was too thin, the content is actually original and well-written.
He was thinking about letting it expire, but he has some pretty decent rankings, #5 for lifeguard certification, and like #12 for lifeguard, and they have been there for a long while without him doing anything.
I am trying to decide whether to advise him to just list it on flippa, or if there was a way we can find to monetize it for this particular niche besides adsense since that is no longer an option.
So far he has made no sales via amazon, and he is getting on average 1250 visitors a month, no profits so far.
Any suggestions?
