How do I find out where my website is in Google's listing without trawling through hundreds of pages? Or is that the only way to discover if my site is listed?

Thanks

Joe

Try the new SERP tool I have in my signature. It does live checks on private proxies for google SERP results. If you are in the top 100, we will find it. We also keep track of your current, best, and previous position. If you are concerned about regional, you can choose that also.

You can easily scroll back through your keywords and review the top 10 sites for each of your keywords also to see who your top competition is.

Currently we limit you to 20 keywords, but hey, how many do other sites allow you to save? We are working on a more advanced version which will allow you to save multiple domains and many more keywords, with 30 day graphing to track your SERP trend.

This question gets asked a lot, and all the time it's a
question that really has no answer, or value really.

What you really need is what people search for when
clicking to your site from a search engine. That's what's
        valuable.

Trying to come up with what-if scenarios for some fake
        searches is terrible.

If your site has cpanel, perfect. Very easy to see how people
came to your site, what they searched for, and the terms they
        used.

Google analytics is the second choice. I put it second because
nothing beats the ease of cpanel. And I think people over use
        stats.

The only stat that matters is how much money you make.

In short, it matters not where your page lands when you are
doing a fake search. Nothing comes close to looking at
real world searches. There is no great predictor either.
People search for any and all combinations of words that
may lead to your site in SERPs.

I think most people who don't know, would be amazed at some
of the search phrases that get people to your site.

I use RankChecker which is a free Firefox plugin. Works pretty well for me.
