Building 1 site with 50 articles vs. building 5-10 sites (w/ EMDs)

Ok so i found a good nich which has about 50 different keywords with decent traffic. I am not sure if i should build just one site or if should build 5-10 sites with EMDs.

I am quite new to the internet marketing and am not making any decent money till now so 5-10 EMDs should rank more easily? On the other hand i will monetize with adsense and google likes big sites more than small sites (well maybe??? i don't know)
It will also cost me 50-100$ more which i could invest into content outsourcing.

Considering that i am an beginner what would be the easier and faster way to make my first money?

    I would build 1 site, it will be easier to get future articles ranked (only need 1 domain too) and as you said, Google isn't fond of sites with thin content so a larger site may be safer.

    I agree. Build a big site. Look into how to make it seem more authoritative. Be sure to have terms, privacy policy, etc. If you build it big enough, you can monetize with CPA offers, and other affiliate offers, too.
