This is how to rank #1 with minimum content

I was just creating a new blog post and ran a google search for my keyword which is "create file and directory in Java" to see the competition and here are #1 and #3 results:

#1 - http://www.roseindia. net/java/beginners/java-create-directory.shtml

#3 - http://javarevisited.blogspot .in/2011/12/create-file-directory-java-example.html

#1 has a length of 145 words but #3 has 1140 words with bold keywords so why doesn't google rank #3 as #1 and #1 as #10000. Here is what I think:

Google tries to rank web pages based on first paragraph and last paragraph. Since #1 has only 2 paragraphs and both contain the required keywords so it is good but #3 has only one paragraph (it looks as if #3 has many paragraphs but Google can't make out paragraphs based on <br/> tags and uses <p> tags to make out the paragraphs.

So guys here five golden rules for onpage SEO

1) Add keyword in Page title
2) Add keyword in URL
3) Add keyword in first paragraph
4) Add keyword in last paragraph
5) Use <p> HTML tags to create paragraphs

Input from Linkvana:
6) The one which is already having a lots of good quality pages indexed in Google is favored so create as much content

Input from Yogesh
7) Use h1,h2,h3 tags to include keywords

Do share your thoughts on this.
#search engine optimization #content #minimum #rank
  • Your #1 result, RoseIndia.net has over 1.8 million indexed results in Google.

Google loves large authority sites, so it's perfectly normal for this site to rank above a small personal blog like #3.
