Backlink in wordpress profile

Hey everyone, I've been looking around on various wordpress sites and blogs and have noticed that many people put a backlink in their profile name.

Does anyone know how they are doing this as I have tried using my BB & HTML codes on them but have had no luck with this. :confused::confused:
