Adsense disapproved for youtube partner - WTF?

Hi Guys,

Wondering if someone can give me advice about a problem I'm having setting up adsense with my youtube account.

I was recently accepted into the Youtube partner program.

After I was accepted I set up an adsense account so I could get payments.

About a month later I checked adsense and saw there was a block on my adsense account.

I contacted Google and asked why there was a block. They told me there was another account set up in my name using a different email address.

I don't remember setting up an account using another email address, but I might have many years ago and just forgot since I never used it. The other account they mentioned I don't have access to.

The email from google had a link that said (something like) click here if you want to switch emails you use for you adsense account. So I clicked that to change my account over to my current email address.

However, now when I try to log in to adsense I get this message saying my account has been disapproved. Worst of all I can't seem to do anything to get my situation reviewed or reassessed. When I click the "return to adsense home" link I'm just taken back to that same page saying I've been disapproved. HELP!

Normally I'd just start a new account, but this one's linked to my youtube partner account and getting accepted into the youtube partner account took FOREVER.

Any advice guys? Help?

You can see the warning I'm getting here:

Thanks,

Michael

You'll need to explain that further. I don't know
anyone who can just set up an adsense account.

There's millions of people with the same name. I hardly think
google checks by names. They would ban tons of people who
just happen to have the same name. So that makes no sense
to be told someone with the same name has an account.

Google can accept you into youtube partnership, more people
are getting in, but they can turn around and disapprove you
if you don't meet their criteria. Being accepted is no
guarantee of being able to get an adsense account, nor be
able to get ads on your videos. Each adsense account is
approved, and each video is approved.

Sounds like the problem is the old Adsense account & OP is just locked out of that account because they no longer have access to the old email/login/password that was connected to that account.

Personally I have 3 separate emails hooked up to my Adsense account so I never get locked out. This saved my a$$ once, when for some reason my main gmail account wouldn't let me log in. I used a backup hotmail account to get into my Adsense account.

If you get back into the old Adsense account, make sure to setup at least 3 separate emails (ex: gmail, hotmail, yahoo) so you don't ever have to mess around trying to get support, you can fix the problem yourself.

I know this doesn't help right now, just saying do this If you get back into the old Adsense account.

Sorry Paul, maybe I should have explained that more clearly. When I said Google said there was another account "in my name", I meant they were telling me there was an account with my name, contact details, etc. etc. just using a different email address.

Hey Yukon, yeah that's pretty much the problem I'm having. Any ideas? Could i set up a new adsense account and link it to my existing youtube account? Should I try to get in to Adsense using the other email address they're telling me is associated with my youtube account (I don't have access to that email, but if I DID set it up years ago I might be able to guess the password)?

How do I get some support from Google? Is there a way I can contact them and ask them to look into my situation?

That's what I would do is try & guess the old password.

I'm not sure about Google support, most people say they can't get help, but that's Adsense.

You might instead try & get help/support from the old email provider, then once your in the email, go back & try & login to the Google account.

I guess the flyer that companies need good support doesn't go up for Google. The biggest site on the internet and the worse of all in support, simply cause they don't need us, but at the same time they DO need us.

Maybe, but OPs problem is the Login, which is basically an email/password problem, even If that email is Gmail.

Yes I am aware of that but I remember that when I wanted to contact Google personally cause I had a problem with my Adsense account I couldn't find a single way to get into contact with them directly, all I got was redirections to F.A.Q's and so-called "support" forums where you had to start a thread and looking at the posts there there was never a Google employee answering the questions but only "users". Luckily I figured it out myself.

It had to do with requesting another verification letter while I already verified my acount based on such letter before. :S

    Hi Niko,

Is there any way I could ask them to send me another account verification email? Or maybe another account switch email?

I agree, their forums afe f#%king useless.
