After the new Google algorithm, on-site factors are much more important,so without proper on-optimization a site can not get good rank even with 200+ links.

You need both proper on-site optimization with high quality unique content in the site as well as you need high quality links from variety of sources.

What type of links were they? Remember SEO is a patience game, you need to build your links steadily and results will follow within several months but as whosin said, you need to improve your site's on-site SEO as well and also add high-quality content - not spun content.

Secondly, when you build links, are you building them with this corresponding URL (http://abc.com/) or your adding www. before your domain? You need to fix the canonical URL issue as well so Google sticks to one way of identifying your domain when indexing.

You need more time for getting result. And also 250 is not sufficient number for ranking within 1 month. Concentrate on the quality of content and also do proper on-page optimization. Create backlinks with such pages which have good PR and also in the same niche.

Well.. 200 links are NOT enough for this keyword.. Also you SHOULD use H1 tags in your website. Build QUALITY backlinks using this keyword, but make it look natural, submit to other websites using DIFFERENT keyword. This way it will look more natural to Google.. And continue building backlinks

first remember that not all links get indexed. use "majestic seo" to check how many links you had this month with "fresh index" and how many links you have in total with "historix index".
than check you competition. check how many links the top result have.

just so you know, this keyword is pretty though to rank for (especially for beginner)
it has more that 1.5M search result in phrase match (""). so I advice you to start with a keyword with less than 200K search result in quotes("").
don't forget to track your ranking with some software or with free serp checker (look on google) to get deeper understanding of which link gave you a boost in ranking and which not.

First you should analyse the competition exist in that keyword. And on that basis prepare your strategy to proceed.

First of all check your keyword is correct for your site.You should prefer for a low competitive high search keyword for your site..Try google adwords

Which platform are you building your links? How tough is your competition?

I really appreciate your participation. I did the link building for "send romantic sms" and achieved very good results. All the links are contextual based(Articles) with very few amount. In the articles i used "www" version instead of non www version eg for keyword "send romantic sms" (www.abc.com).
For the keyword "romantic sms", i had been using non www(abc.com), but didn't see the results even in 10 search pages.
When i open my website with www.abc.com, It redirects to abc.com automatically.
What is your opinion , what to do now plz?

If your website has indexed with www version in google so now you should fix your website URL from without www to www version.Use 301 redirection to do this job and I hope by implementing good work you will get rank for your other keywords as well.

To get rankings in Google, both on page and off page optimization play an important role. So, first optimize your website's pages for the most targeted keywords of your website. and then build links from different SEO sources. Links from similar theme websites will be more helpful
