Hello warriors,

I need your advice on my blog which gets 400 adsense clicks daily but still due to poor CPC i am not getting any much money. The average CPC is about 0.04$-0.05$ which makes me frustrated. I had been working hard on this blog from many months and it ranking well. The only way to monetize my blog is adsense, can you guys suggest me some better alternative ?

Previously my CPC was 0.11$ which is now fallen so much can anyone tell me a way out ?

I had been using adsense section targeting in my thesis script still its performing so low.

    Hi pbbiet,

CPC depends pretty much on the niche you are in.
So if your Blog is based around a niche with low CPC, then that is what you are going to get for your clicks.
    (You probably already know that)

I don't think that there is any way you can increase the CPC, other than changing the niche, or changing the keywords of your Blog.

Google controls what CPC of Ads they display on your site.

There is already Competitive Ad Placement, so the "Best Paying" Ads you can get are already appearing on your site.

    I think that $20 daily (400 x $0.05) isn't bad at all for a blog. Congrats!
Most Blogs don't even make $5 per day as far as I know. So you're doing well so far.

I understand too that you said you spent "many months of hard work" on it, so that could demotivate you too.

If you think that you have hit a "limit" of earnings with your Blog, maybe it's time to move on to a next Blog/Site, while the other one keeps earning you money.

Have 2-5 Blogs, earning you $40-$100.

I don't have much other advice on how you can improve your CPC.

    Best of luck to you!

I know that it depends upon the niche but previously i had the CPC of 0.11$ which about 3 times then present but without any change of content my CPC has fallen drastically

Regarding 20$ i am not unhappy with it but the thing that its not performing as it should is making me woried.

What niche are you in? I doubt that there wouldn't be any other monetization method than adsense.

Without actually reviewing your site it's difficult to say exactly how you could improve its overall performance, but assuming there is actually some decent cpc adsense revenue in your niche I'd start by having a look for some better cpc keywords to target.

I offer site analysis and reviews to my members and once a site is getting enough traffic I would start to look at where the visitors are coming from, what they where searching for, keywords, content, cpc, layout etc and take it from there.

It could be your niche, some niches pay much better than others (medical and financial come to mind). Google does not reveal the percentage of revenue they share for click throughs, they may factor conversions as well, you are at their mercy ;-)

Since we are on this topic, does adsense still works? I read some websites have already had their adsense account suspended and they are moving on to others CPC networks.

Just curious- do you really think Adsense is the best business model for that site?

I mean if you get 400 clicks a day, you're probably getting like 4000+ visitors a day, right?

If you were selling an ebook for $5 and your site converted at 1$, that's 40 x $5 = $200/day...

Agree with you here, also you could sell adspace on your site to direct buyers for more than what adsense is giving you....why not check out if your site will qualify on BuySellAds.com or some othert platform like that and maybe someone will buy adspace from you....

if you think that all other options are bad guess what... the niche must suck in terms of money making... i mean don't be suprised that the cpc is so low if you can't even find affiliates or what ever to monetize your site.
the cpc is high if there are a lot advertiser and it seems like there aren't a lot advertiser in you market...
i think the idea of making your own info product is likly the best way to make more money

I think it's time for you to move on to your next blog.

Adsense is not easy to make money at by the way. My best earning blogs made me a few cents per day. I always found it very challenging to make any significant money through that system and have found it way easier to sell info products or build a list.

But you've clearly maxed out the earnings on this niche.

Why can't you sell anything on your blog or get direct advertisers? No options for other affiliate programs either? Why the limitations?

Well its all because of the audience i get, i know there limitations all of them are information seekers and almost none of them is buyer. The ranks very well for a high volume search term locally and i know the local audience better they are not going to buy anything.

CPC for most mom and pop sites has nothing to
do with niche. It's about the quality of your
visitor, and whether they are buying. If you
are in a so-called low paying niche, whatever
that is, and you improve the quality, you will
get bidders bidding up the price.

If you don't, you get no bidders, or bidders who
google decides to give a low price to. This is
because they feel you are a terrible place for
an ad and want to pump up the ROI for
        their paying customers.

I don't know why the simple answer always is
changing the niche. It's not that simple.

There really is no high paying niche when it
comes to adsense sites built by you and I.

It's all about the history of your traffic.

Lots of clicks for a low price means you
        most likely have been smartpriced.

And you don't really know the true CPC as
some of those clicks may be invalid. Invalid
does not mean clickfraud, as many people jump
on. Invalid clicks happen. Your actual CPC might
be 20 cents. Or higher. You would only know
if you check your stats after each and every click.

The sad truth is, the vast majority of people will make
less than 25 cents a click. Comes as quite a shock
to those who think you can just slap adsense on a site
and watch the riches roll in.

In reality, there's nothing wrong with $16/day if your
site and you are on the up and up.

When frustration kicks in, or a seemingly lack of real money,
that's when people do bad things. They are not satisfied.

CPC really depends on your niche, I get anywhere from $0.5 to as high as $9 a click for a financial site. Usually it is about $1 per click. What niche are you on? You might want to give CPA a shot or build your list and send them ebooks or course offers either from Clickbank or CPA.

Obviously you didn't do your homework correctly before settling for your current niche and putting all effort to rank high.

First of all, i will like to congratulate you for a job halve done (ranking).

You are probably ranking high because your niche is not affiliate rich nor ad sense worthy, so people decide to turn a blind eye on the niche. Just saying this, because you seem to miss the most important aspect of starting a profitable adsense business and that quickly pass you for a newbie or thereabout.

There are still a few things you can do.

    1. Try other ad network. I have made the same mistakes as you before and was able to make some decent money from the site after testing a couple of ad network. I recommend chitika and infolinks. In very few cases, some niches that are not profitable with adsense can be far better with others.

    2. Try to sell ads on your site. Since you have a lot of traffic coming you way, you can make higher income by finding site owners with niche closely related to yours, willing to place ads for recognition.

    Cheers.

if i was you then i would definitely left the site and start with another one.
Try to find some new keywords related to your main keywords. then interlink the two sites. or just make new posts with the new keywords.

Are there any CPA offers which are suited to your niche? An email or zip submit offer usually pays about $1.50 so even if the offer converted at just 0.5% based on 4000 visitors to your blog per day, you'd make about $60/day.

I would try selllng adspace or going CPA. I seems like your niche isn't very good for CTR and you most likely won't be able to change this. Unless you try you will never know, Good luck!

I had same problem with a blog that had low paying keywords.
What I did was add some high paying keyword posts every few days to get the bigger cpc payments. Try words like "social media marketing", "insurance", "debt management", "dedicated managed server", etc..

Adsense earning is only depends on keywords used on your website. I think you are using those keywords for which google not pays much. try to find some quality keywords by using Adwords tools.

      >Magically cannot use other sources of advertising (Blogger blog, sort of maybe?)
      >Can't figure out how to try to change keywords for higher payout per click

      Something doesn't add up here.

Constructive suggestion: Use a different ad program. If you can't (for whatever reason) then start a new site that doesn't rely on AdSense or has a decent payout per click.

Would love to have the URL of your site to give personal suggestions and to verify traffic claims.
