Hi,

I was wondering: is it still possible to rank a simple HTML squeeze page in Google just like you would rank a content rich web page?

I saw some of these pages ranking on the first page of Google 1 or 2 years ago (not sure when) but I don't know if this is still possible today, after so many algo changes.

Anyone here that is doing this right now and who can explain how difficult or easy it is to rank this pages?

Thanks

Ranking a squeeze page is bit tough but you can achieve it by having keyword name in domain and adding lots of content on the page I mean lots of scrolling to reach the bottom of the page.

That sounds more like a salesletter to me

But anyway, thanks for the response. I would have sworn that all of the replies to this thread would be resounding "NO"s or "not anymore"s or something like these

Agree but otherwise as mentioned my many forum members you'll need losts of links which is something hard nowadays.

Yes. you can do it. I have several squeeze pages ranked on page 1 for very competitive terms. I got there with link building and article writing.

I'm sure you can. There's generally less text on them, but with enough backlinks I can't see the issue. I always see EMD squeeze pages in Google results.

Never tried to but I'm sure you could with enough backlinks. Probably be better off with a well designed WP blog with a banner or text ad pointing to your squeeze page.

Yeah, with "enough backlinks" ... The reason I inquired about the possibility of ranking squeeze pages is because I am switching all my efforts from SEO (I am really done with wasting years of my life playing by Google's rules that you never know which they are anyway, and that change more often than you can adapt to) to list building and I would have been interested in getting automated and highly targeted traffic to my squeeze pages. But I forgot that in order to get the squeeze pages to rank I would have to do SEO (probably even more of it since onpage SEO would be very poor than on typical websites/blogs lol)

Had I kept this in mind when I started this thread I wouldn't have started it in the first place.

      Thanks for the replies though.

I've just got a squeeze page on the first page of Google for very a competitive keyword in the "Make money online" niche.

Also, there's no additional content on the page, it's just a hardcore squeeze page. However I do have a autoblog that provides fresh content daily under the same domain.

That's interesting ... Do you link to the blog from the squeeze page? Is the link easily spotted?

I have always been on look up for that auto blog plugin and software. Are you able to share this to us James?

      Please let us know.

It depends on what keywords you are targeting - if the competition is low, it's possible, but you still need some content on the squeeze page - And the content should be in the "above the fold" area.

It can be done, but it depends on the competition and niche as far as how high it will appear.

Yes Treat it like any other page. I read somewhere that you should treat every page within your website as a landing page.
