Go for it, but I don't agree that you can knock the squidoo lens off easily. It depends on the lens.

I agree, Squidoo has such a large amount of authority because of it's page rank, it could outrank almost anyone.

Well, it's not just Squidoo overall, it's the lens too. I have a lens that does quite well on a medical subject and it's got some pretty good backlinks from 2 doctor's sites.

Before you get too hasty to make a decision, you should use a backlink service to see how powerful the backlinks to that Squidoo lens are.

You can go to https://ahrefs.com/ to check the backlinks of your competitor, which will allow you to see how powerful they are. The more high authority links they have the more you will have to create to beat them.

I have 2 number one squidoos. Nobody is going to knock them off.

I don't know why people ask such things. Nor why people answer
them. Nobody can answer the question.

Nobody knows anything about you, your history, your niche,
your ability, the authority of the site, google's love for the
      site, nothing. Nada.

Anyone who says, sure, it can be knocked off, does not
      know what they're talking about.

      It's like asking the question,

"Can I buy a Ferrari someday?"

How are you going to answer that without knowing
anything about the person, their income, their
      health, potential, etc.?!?!?!?!?

Oh sure, you can buy a Ferrari someday.

Gee, thanks, I'm glad to hear that!

      Crazy question.

Squidoo, Hubpages, just about any web20 can be as strong as a regular webpage, dont be fooled into thinking it's like a yahoo answer that can be bumped easily! That been said, do your research just like you would a regular webpage.
