I am confused about backlinks, please guide me

Hi,

I have a website regenesis-it.com

I have been doing off page and on page optimization on it since last one year.
During this process i have generated many links pointing to ma website.

As shown in alexa there are currently 583 links.

But, when i search in Google with code link:regenesis-it.com
it does not show any result.

Can somebody tell me why is that?

use Google webmaster tools to find out the back links which one links to your site. It is better than link: operator
