Try to remove as many of those links as you can and publish a little bit of new content.

After about two weeks submit your site for re evaluation if you have google webmasters

If that doesn't work the average length of a slap is six months

I think it's a good idea to stay away from networks like that.

      20 links a day ?
Remove all links and update your content. Your ranking will be back in couple of days

Don't take those links down just yet. Give it a week, and track your ranking changes in that time.

20 links a day? WHY? I see no reason of adding 20 links a day unless I have a huuuge site with like 200+ articles on it and post them out randomly.

You overdid it. Your site will be back, but it could be anywhere from a day to 6 months. I am speaking from personal experience of doing 1001 variation of backlinking (most of which got slapped anywhere from a day to 4-6 months). Luckily for me ALL of my sites returned eventually.

    Sincerely, Buyseech

This happens to me sometimes too, especially for my one site. One week its high on page 1 then gone for a week or two or three, then it comes back. I had it happen with a few other sites, just slowly keep building links and take your time. Drop that 20 to 10, but even so if google finds 10 of them a day I don't think it would be too much. Also build up your inner pages. Maybe set 1 article to homepage, two to the inner pages and send out 5 of each a day.

It is always better to work steadily on backlinks. Never rush behind the backlinks that you get from low ranking sites. Google no longer give importance to such backlinks so it is better to avoid such stunts.

Well, more information needed, how about your contents' quality? Backlinks resource quality? I don't think 20 backlinks per day is overdo, so my guessing is you may got problems with quality contents or backlinks.

don't worry , don't be panic , just do your regular link building and make sure everything looks natural and you should be back to normal.

IP diversity and link diversity is the key these days. Just stopping your link building will just like saying " Yes I did a crime , hang me "

What advice? I just see a lot of opinions.

You and everyone else using a public blog network got pinched. Penalties, if that is what you have can be 30 days - ? years. Maybe since all your blog network links were deindexed, you were just shuffled to where you actually belong in the SERPS.

Look around the forum and on the net there's a lot of discussion about link building and people getting slapped by G.

The G wants more business and how better to do it.

I had undergone about same thing, It is called "Google dance" - But, I really do not mind about it, I keep on adding links and make sure my site content is unique, I am sure when there are more backlinks, the SERP will get stable on Google.

What is your link split like across the domain? Have you pointed all your links to the home page only?

You were number 1, why did you feel the need to add 20 links a day..?

I'm really sad to hear what happened to your site but you are not the only one to get hit by big G. One of my PR 2 sites, which was ranking #5, was completely sand boxed by G over night; now, and it's not even in the picture of G's index anymore. When I did site:mysite.com, not a single page was there.

It seems like Big G is really hunting down those sites using any network or any unusual link building. They are really up to quality rather than quantity.

I think it's better to focus on providing good value to the visitors through great quality contents rather than building links unnaturally.

See it out for a week before making any changes, in mean time always carry on link building. Never stop, that will definitely trigger Google's filters. After a week of no change then start to make drastic changes.
