My Website is Gone After Google Slap

One of my websites about hair loss is out of Google after the last attack. I've been building paid back links for last 3 months. I had subscriptions to 3 different "rank building" websites, and my website was in top 20 in 4-5 highly searched keywords (>10,000/mo). I was number 1 for one keyword, right now I am not in top 100 .
I am confident that I have quality content on my website. Do you think I can reverse this somehow, or should I just send that website to trash?

I am not sure if it is OK to disclose my subscriptions. Those 3 websites were all well-known, popular websites.

Wait for sometime, it may bounce back in search results. Have you build several backlinks in few days, when someone builds thousands of backlinks in a day or two your ranking disappears instantly. It also happened with me, by the way my site bounced back on search results again after some time.

Yeah I know. I didn't know any better. I don't ask why it happened. I know why it happened. What I ask is can I fix it?

That probably depends on the severity of the penalty.

You would think the best thing to do from here would be to begin applying strictly white hat methods (original quality content, integrating social media, guest blogging etc) but it may be too late for any of that.

        Its really anyones guess.

You might have to just write it off and start again - but this time, do it properly.

BTW - I voted "Send to trash, start over"

If you haven't been de-indexed then keep adding more good content and wait for you traffic and rank to return. It may take a while.

I voted to get a new domain and move the content because I've actually done this and it worked in my case. YMMV.

If it is indeed a slap you can try reversing it by removing as many of the paid links as you can

If it's just a fluctuation from loss of backlinks (check if you lost a lot of backlinks) then start building quality backlinks

If it is a slap and you can't get it reversed the average length of a google slap is six months So drop the project and pick up something new until your website comes back

I believe this is a penalty, because my back link number is the same on my webmasters profile, but I dropped from #1, #5, #12 to not in top 100.

    • Just wait, it will come back.
    • Send to trash, start over.
    • Get a new domain name, carry the content.
    • Sell the content.

    None of the above.

Your external links pages (not your site/pages) are devalued/deindexed.

    Build new/better links.

I think, you can get your rank back with quality backlinks. Anyway make sure your ONSITE SEO is perfect as usual and you didn't make any changes before you undergo this issue. On the other hand make sure that your content is unique as well.

If above mentioned things are fine, go ahead with link building, get more backlinks, specially contextual links. Write many articles and submit to article directories, press releases and web 2.0 sites and get backlinks to your website. Build more content related backlinks may bring back your SERP.
