How do I select high traffic organic keyword with low competition? What do I look for when researching keywords?

For example, do I look for keywords with less than 60,000 monthly broad match in adwords tool?

I am looking for keyword that would rank high quickly.

Also, I want the keyword monthly exact match to be more than 1,000 in adwords keywords tool.

First of all, do not use broad match, use exact match. That will give you a better idea of what the keyword can actually return.

Also, ranking high quickly is never guaranteed and is only possible for very low-competition keywords. I would suggest getting a solid keyword research tool that analyzes competition for particular keywords. I recommend SerpIQ, but there are several. That should give you a good start.

    Hey everyone,
I'm in need of some help. I'm trying to find the best keywords for my site. My question is, should I be using low competition words with high searches OR should I use low competition words with low searches? Is it just about low competition words? Please clarify. Thanks.

There are two main parts to keyword research.

    1. Finding suitable keywords with reasonable search volume.

    2. Checking the competition for those keywords to see how hard they will be to rank for.

Step 2 can be the most time consuming and frustrating part.

Essentially you want to check the competition strength of the top 10 results to see what type of on-page and off-page SEO they have.

Once you've determined that, you can make a call on whether you can beat them or not.

I would advise you to see beyond competition and monthly searches. Look for profitability of the keyword. I have been using keyword country for choosing my keywords. The factor that I look for is profitability, which estimates the number of visits and rank of my website listing.

Market Samurai has an option to determine keyword profitability, calling it Commerciality. It works great, just great.

Yes I tried it too. It is working just fine. Are there anything else with same facilities?
