Low Sales on Fiverr

Hey, I am planning to sell stuffs in Fiverr, so can you please tell me if Fiverr charge any fee?

I have a backlink gigs usually get 35-40/50 orders per day. But last couple of days Im getting just 20-25 orders. I was thinking same as you. However now see you are facing same problem. Might be marketers are worried about Algo update.

Then stop selling backlinks gigs and start selling facebook likes, Google+ and Tweets etc. You will see an immediate increase in your fiverr sales.

I increased my prices to $20 (addon) for better quality control, I get less orders, but make more money.

Fiverr buyers are looking for quality instead of low quality mass junk.

Because fiverr search sux, search using rating, i don't know on what its based, but in rating for sure not -.- Search its just very irrelevant, hope they are working on it...

That is because Fiverr backlinks, Fiverr Articles, Fiverr 99% SEO services are a PURE JUNK, that can in extreme case hurt your (new) site.

My gigs on Fiverr have nothing to do with links or friends or such. I do voice overs, site reviews, site navigation, and some Excel help. My traffic stays pretty steady.

Yes definitely Google will not like buying or selling back links. Last weel Google has re indexed big back link network due to their work stuff. So this is the reason for your order less in number. Try to sell any other innovative work in Fiverr in order to get more reputation from others.

You have dropped from 35 to 25 and you are worried. Some people having more tough time than this. I think there are some changes has been taking place in fiverr. You will know about it very soon.

No I did not notice any drop in sales. The Fiverr SERPs are changing constantly. For example, with certain gigs I get many more orders in the evening than in the morning, etc.

Fiver is a cheap way to build links, sometimes cheap can mean good or bad. But most of the services people offer for 5 dollars are just horrible. Even the blogroll links will kill your sites rankings....and they are permanent links. Other services such as social media is worth a try but other than that you can't get much.

I like to offer my service to fiverr too. Nothing to do with seo.

How to get order? Any one willing to share tip on this?

Does anyone know how to promote a fiverr gig?
I have tried creating a few gigs with actual do-able things that make sense like:
"I will manually create you 10 +pr3 nicherelated backlinks"
Then in the description i tell my story like: i will do reserach on your niche and i will comment on some top very nicherelated blogs with actual comments related to the article. completion time 12-16 days, because i do not post on autoapprove blogs i will continue doing nicherelated high pr comments and wait until they get approved by the webmasters, i will stop once 10 have been approved, big chance of getting some bonus approvals afterwards. i will RSS and META ping all approved links for faster indexing. all blogs will have a low OBL"

now this is some honest s#it gig, because i work parttime in real life so i got quite some free time for such projects.. also if people read the actual description and they have atleast a mild understanding of seo they should understand that this gig is worth the 5$.

only problem is i dont know how to promote my gigs >.<

You can start by posting links of your fiverr gig at forums or spread the word at other sites that you're offering that kind of service in fiverr.

Also for the question of low sales, I remember one of their CSR who mentioned to me that they also have a queuing for sellers with the same tags or simply put, with the same type of service they offer if there's too many of them.

So if there's 10 of you selling backlinks, they can sometimes hide the next 5 and just show it again to those searching when the first 5 got orders.

To promote gigs on fiver you can,

1) Link on forums.

2) Find your competitors customers, and just message them.

3) Do what I use to do and make really stupid, but unique gigs, that only desperate people would be interested in (there are a lot of desperate people out there).

I use to have a gig where people paid $5 just to see my POF account. I would not give them login info, I would take a picture of all the girls who clicked "meet me" as well the number of messages in my inbox. But the value was in how I wrote my profiles (which they'd get a link to). I have a very unique way of writing profiles, that took a long time to learn, but works great for getting women to message you.

The gig wound up getting deleted, I still don't know why, so I made a new one but never took orders. I got a couple but ignored them and just let the gig die. Too many guys were screwing it up, and still couldn't write a decent profile. Plus I had other more lucrative stuff going on and started it mainly as a joke.

Anyway, the point is, there is some really stupid shit people will pay money for. You just need to figure out what it is and sell it. There are women you can pay on fiver to stalk you on facebook. So trust me, some guys will pay for anything. You just need to be creative and exploit their egos (like women do all the time =]).

As about stupid gigs, take the ones where someone is dressed up like crazy and doing some stupid dance, and then they have like 300 sales, totally unreal.

It may just be an economic confidence thing, what with The USA's fiscal cliff and Euro bail-outs and all, people are feeling less likely to buy stuff, even stuff for $5.

As to the worth of Fiverr gigs for SEO, I think about 80% of them are worth the money. Especially for backlinking your backlinks and getting simple videos produced.

I did an experiment a year or so ago and got a new web site to number 1 for the term fish funerals. Backlinks from Fiverr, and logo from Fiverr.

Don't believe the negative stories about Fiverr. Test it for yourself.

I hear fish funerals are big in China these days. Can you write an advert in Chinese? I'll bet you it could go over real big as a spoof.
