Several keywords that I have ranked for were in the top 5 spots of google and about a few hours ago they are no where to be seen in the top 1000. Any ideas?

    Is this a new site? Have you done any backlinking to it?

    Is your site still indexed? If it is, it's probably dancing. Wait a couple of days.

      Yes, I assume I will just have to wait it out.

    That is normal for new sites. Google is still finding the right place in the ranking.

    Let's face the fact that there is no clear conclusion about what happened to your site. I will just take the advice of waiting for a few days if it will come back to where it was. If it doesn't, then it's time to think what strategy you will use to earn the ranking back.

    Sounds like illusion of personalized results.
    For the Searching - you can make sure you always check the same way...
    * Logged out of G Accounts
    * Opted out of Personal Search
    * Use the same computer
    * Use the same browser
    * Use the same Search page
    * Use the same Search settings

    If you are getting same results again, I am afraid you are slapped by some penalty. Employed something blackhat?

      I have used Rankerizer to track my rankings, so I do not think personalized results have to do anything with it. I do no believe I have done anything out of the norm.

    Not sure if this is the wrong area, new to the field .... but I might have some fun for you guys. Not sure how this guys is doing it but I don't think its fair to the rest of us.

    his name is Lee Gordon .... he's registered to "buyproxie.info" and "bestseohosting" and that is his personal info .... he uses a screen name "Leegor" on this site .... his gf does most of the posting for their advertising; "Melissa82" (her screen name) ..... she also has hostthename.com in her signature so I'm assuming they're running that too; also in association with Steve Gasque. They are causing so many problems for so many people, is there no way to stop it. Buying a site ... spamming it on illegal porn sites to "temporarily" increase the value then selling it is poor business practice. However being affiliated with "bad" sites like bluebuddies.com is even worse, I can only imagine what is on his back pages.

    He is a pirate, ruining the respect of the online community and his actions will just get worse and cause us more grief. He brags about being so smart, I think it is time to end that .....

    His primary business is hosting and hiding, his site's are constantly rerouted to different IP's. 69.175.112.186 and 108.163.224.195. It is also associated with his "metrocarloan.ca" which is a fake site ... his Keswick address is correct but the rest he has hidden. I know this because I know him personally.

    Can anybody help clean up the streets .....
    Sorry my PM doesn't work but email me for traceympierce AT yahoo ca
    Thanks
