Adding Google+1 To WP do im need to add the code into the theme or will a plugin work ?

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question i want to add google +1 to my WP site but i`m a bit confused about the best way to do this ? I`ve searched on youtube and the videos all talk about adding the code into my WP edit theme do i really need to do this as i can see quite afew WP plugins that will do this.

So i installed a WP plugin and sure enough the Google+1 badge is at the bottom of my page but when i search in google the site doesn`t have the button next to my site listing ??

Can anyone explain please as although its a easy subject its left me alittle confused ?

You should be able to find a plugin.

You can do it with the "addthis" plugin. (Make sure you search for addthis all one word - no gaps)
