Two Weeks Of Doing Nothing? Then....

I setup an adsense site a couple of weeks ago. And all i did was post two articles on it and social bookmarked each of them with 25 links each. Only the articles though.
Two weeks later of doing nothing, i then linked my main domain name with 3 blog comments. And haven't social bookmarked my main domain name either, only the two articles on there.
I checked one article, and its number 14 on Google, and the main domain name is number 4 on Google. Two different keywords, but same subject.
I haven't made money yet, as its only a low local search count of about 560 a month. However, i am very optimistic.
Before, when i tried SEO and stuff, i was very frustrated and very peeved with it. Now, even though no money yet, i am very optimistic on results so far.
The only issue i have at the moment is getting articles accepted. I'm from the UK, and they are saying my grammer is not right. I have Microsoft Word and Open Office, and they both say its fine.
That is my only draw back at the moment. Got no cash at moment to invest any more in article writers. However, even though i have the draw back of not getting my articles accepted, i am very glad i am taking the time to see this through.
Also, i know the local search count is low of 560. However, if i get this right, i will use this knowledge i am learning now to go higher, say around the 1000-5000 area.
I just wanted to share this, as i feel it may help at least one person. Does anyone have any tips for me to improve on what i have already achieved?
