    Hello

No follow links will stop the link juice from spreading to other pages. This piles the link juice on your homepage, which could get your a higher page rank quicker. But do follow links will make google spiders to follow the link and index the page. Which means more people are able to find your website via various keywords in the long run.

    Hope this makes any sense.

Well, in so far as it goes, yes, it does, BUT, you can have do follow and do index and the opposite, so what is OK with Gee who must be obeyed and what is not?

      That's it.
Mixed DoFollow and NoFollow backlinks are better.

At the very least NoFollow links will help your diversity. Some may even drive traffic if they're on niche-related URLs.

Both of them are useful in my opinion but dofollow backlinks are better because they pass pagerank to external links too. But as i said, both of them are counting as backlinks and can help your ranking.

Thanks, but I am talking about which links Google might penalize a site for as in the 'unnatural links' scandal.

I have several sites and I have linked some of the relevant ones together with do follow and do index but I have received warnings from G.

Should I no follow and no index the links from my sites to my other sites or just one or the other and which?

      That is the problem.

      Regards,
      Owen.

Both nofollow and dofollow will benefit your SEO campaign. Nofollow links won't transfer the link juice to your url but it might get you traffic and make your link building efforts look natural to search engines.

      Is do index OK?

Technically there is no such thing as "dofollow," there is only the absence of the "nofollow" attribute. I like to call them "regular links."

To make a link building strategy, it is better to have both dofollow and nofollow links in your link building strategy, but you have to make sure that there are more dofollow links as those carries link juice for your site, but nofollow does not, but still nofollow may be counted as a vote and make your link building strategy as "natural" way of link building.

Look, thanks to the last 6-7 responders, but you're all saying the same things.

I want to know about 'index' and 'no index' too!

      How does G regard them?

In the robots' metatags you have the option to mark outgoing links as

follow = tell the search engine spiders to follow te links on the page

index = allow the page to be included in the search engine's listings

Google does not like 'follow' links if I understand Mr Cutts' video correctly, but I haven't heard anyone talking about indexing.

I imagine G wants to be allowed to index a page as that is part of its raison d'etre.

I use nofollow links as well as normal links to rank my websites. Contrary to what every on the forum says they do help rank your website. See this article for more information.

we allow the crawlers to crawl the web pages which pages are you needed to achieve position in SERP by using do follow.

we restrict the crawlers to crawl the unwanted pages like register and login. We can avoid PR passing by this way.

Dofollow Weblink is a website link that is able to tell google to complete along it's pr influence to an confident link. Search engines Weblink is exactly the opposite. It is a website link that eliminates the ability to complete on it's pr status to other sites.

I don't think that no follow is usefull to our website while the weight of SEO is low.
Is better to take your time and focus on dofollow link only.
