  • Google Keyword Tool (With an Adwords account) + Excel / LibreOffice to analyze and sort the data + Traffic Travis free to research the top 10 competition.
  • Hello Js!
Big thanks for the dofollow links

    • Ha. No problem. Thanks for the thanks.

Anyway, I used to use Market Samurai but forced myself to learn the filtering features of Excel & OpenOffice (LibreOffice now.) It is SO much more powerful. I love being able to filter a list of 25,000+ keywords with the press of a few buttons.

For example, you can set a filter to show only phrases that are 7 or more words long, get 1,000+ searches, and have a high amount of Adwords competition with just a few clicks.

It's pretty easy to find a bunch of low competition long-tails this way.

I know MS can do the same. But it is painfully slow.

  • There are many tools out there, but stick to Google Keyword Tool.
  • I'm also prefer to "Google Adwords tool" It's really good for "keywords analyze"
  • I own MS and MNF, but I'm usually too lazy to open them up and just end up using GKWT
  • I too would suggest the Adwords Keyword tool.

  • I am using Market Samurai and Google Keyword tool.

I think both of them are really good. The only difference for both of them is that Google keyword tool is free and MS is not. But MS is a good buy too and a lot of use for your website promotion.

    • My problem with the keyword research module in MS is that it uses the Google Keyword Tool but is a LOT slower. Why not just go straight to the source and bypass MS?
  • SEMRush and Spyfu but they are a little pricey IMO.
  • Google Adwords Keyword Tool is a good place to start, but it can be very time consuming doing all the competition analysis manually (you don't get that information from GAKT).

I've used many keyword tools, and I personally think SECockpit is way ahead of the field.
  • market samurai & micro niche finder are the best
  • Try Google Adwords keyword tool to get some suggestion on the keywords for your website. You can use the same tool to check the competitor website's keywords and the competition for a keyword (in one year avg. basis).

    • It depends on your goals i suppose. If you need it for SEO, try keyworda[dot]com
It's not very easy to start using, but when you do... well, I hope you don't work in the same niche as me :-)
  • Adwords Keyword tool is superb. I`d stick with that if I was you
  • The best ones i tried are Google Adwords Keyword tool and semrush.com . These sites give you more accurate results. But the best one in my opinion is still Google Adwords Keyword tool because it has the most accurate database.
  • There are many tools for keyword analysis. I use Google adword Keyword tool which provided by Google. It is a best tool for keyword analysis. It provides the Local and Global monthly searches related to your suggested keywords. You can target the keywords for your website to analysis their search volume. If you target the keyword for PPC, it provide the cost estimate or your PPC campaign.

    • Yeah, KW research is pretty important. Otherwise you'd be going in circles & going nowhere.
