Hello,

I'm new to this and have been lurking on this forum for a while doing a ton of reading and have finally decided to dive in and join.. Thanks to all who have posted tips and advice that has already been very helpful..

I've just launched a website which primarily consists of videos and pictures not articles.. I want to start creating backlinks and really maximizing SEO to increase traffic but it seems like all of the sites that help generate backlinks require articles of 150 words or more.. The gist of my site is to entertain with videos and not write articles so I'm wondering how to generate backlinks if I don't necessarily have articles on my website..

Any info would be really appreciated!

    create videos related to your site put your site link in youtube description and upload it to 50/100 PVA accounts using some video blasting tool. many sites will crawl your video with description link.

    I can suggest you to do proper On-page and Off-page Optimization.
    And for Backlinks, you should do quality off-page optimization.
    Like: Article, BLog, Forum, Social Bookmarking, Directory, Video Sharing, Photo Sharing etc.

  • First of all, getting at least some text on page is important. Couple of paragraphs should do the job, or maybe a transcript of the main points from each video on a drop down box.

    As for submission, posting to each of these sites with a link to you will get you well underway..

  • its not that hard to get quality links for a video website... Infact videos have tendency to get viral easily.

    Just add your videos to popular video distribution websites, you will get backlinks for every submission (if the website is not nofollow)

    Promote your videos on popular social media websites, people 'like' and 'share' videos aggressively.

  • Like spider said you should add backlinks to Youtube videos and also start a Facebook & Twitter page to bring in more traffic.

    I'll just preach what I always preach - diversity is the key to long term success. Diversify your backlinks across platforms, anchor texts, inner pages, etc.
