Hiring someone to get Pagerank

I know I could hire someone who can claim to get a site to Pagerank 3, but is that just a scam?

Is it possible to hire someone who can get a site to a Pagerank of 3 and not have the site get delisted because the method used to get the Pagerank was spammy?

If there are legitimate people who can do this, what would be a reasonable fee for something like that and how do you know who to trust?

This is not a very good idea. You can get your Page Rank to 3 easily with 1 or 2 links. Its not going to get you and real power though.

PR is indeed a bit hyped. You should consider building links on relevant websites this will get you a better position. Also by building links you can easily get PR4 within 4 months. Done it over and over again. So why would you higher someone that automatically solves itself over time?

I got a site PR5 with 2 backlinks.

Remember its about the content also.

If you have two quality backlinks from pr 5 . You can get pr 4 very soon.
Dont think your visitors will be increased as soon as pr increased.
you should always have good content and keyword optimization to get more visitors.

Content doesn't have anything to do with PR. PR is determined by your backlinks. Having high PR pages link to you will quickly increase your PR. It's pretty much as simple as that.

That said, good content and lower PR can outrank a site with higher PR but lousy content. So good content is very important too.

PR 3 can be achieved easily. Even your grandma can get it for you.

wait a bit. I would start a thread aqap to help you guys. I see this question is floating on lots of IM forums. But unfortunately most of the answers are garbage.

Yeah there seems to be a lot of misinformation floating around about PR. The worst, though, is people selling / offering "high PR" backlinks from PR N/A pages on high PR domains.

It's not the same thing.

Getting to Pagerank 3 is very easily attainable. I did it on my own and had virtually no experience. I've found that jumping up to PR4 is a lot more difficult. Everyone says "get links from high PR sites." That is a lot easier said than done, especially if you are not willing to buy text links (or have zero budget for advertising).
