Will AMR hurt rankings?

Does Article Marketing Robot still work for getting backlinks?

Or should I just stay away from it and not waste my time with it?

Will it hurt my rankings?

They still work well as a second tier of links. I would suggest using higher quality links for the links that point directly to your website. Then set up a ton of AMR links that point to those links.

        Hello

There are quite a few dutchies on this forum, in matter of fact I got contacted by one on my visitors page on my profile.

Well, I tend to agree with some claims made on this thread and other threads about article marketing. Do stay away from posting a large number of articles redirecting to your website, especially if they are just spun articles. If they are all unique then go ahead, but I can imagine you don't have a couple of thousand unique handwritten articles on file right now ?

You question about SErobot however, it's like driving a car; it's a tool if you know what to do with it, but it is a weapon of mass destruction if you don't know. The same goes for SErobot basically. Though our training section covers that.

To get back to your main question and giving a proper solution. Why not create a couple of unique articles on your subject. Post them to social networks or article directories, with links pointing back to your website. Then simply back link those with spun articles, and ping and backlink those spun articles by bookmarking them. Just an idea, and it seems to be working quite well, depending on the competetion of your niche.

Hope this will get you in the proper direction.

        Steven,

PS. Moest het in het Engels schrijven Waar hou je je zoal mee bezig?

I also think you should use AMR backlinks as a second tier, not straight to your website....

None of the software hurt your ranking.. only you have to control your mind.. for what.. PATIENCE... don't blast too many backlinks if you are directly to your money site.. only 40-50 links per day is enough.

Exactly, making it look natural is key.

It can hurt a relatively new site with no trust in Google's eyes. It can hurt if AMR links are the only backlinks you have. It can also hurt if you build links sporadically and your link building velocity is inconsistent.

Probably because these article sites have no value whatsoever to Google these days? (Or am I wrong?) Anyway I think I just have to test it out for myself.

Yes and No. Well you can blast Articles, Blogs, Forum profile links anything you want directly to your moneypage. As long as you are not using anchor texts and keywords as usernames you are not going to face any problem.

Direct link blasts to new domains would coz of suspensive google dance. But the effect is temporary. In that case I would prefer old domains as they will be able to tolerate link blasts easily.

The best practice is already mentioned by PL.

      I've been wondering this also.

Some people say you should only use AMR to build links to tier 2 sites and others say it's OK to use it to link to your money site. So which is it?

The included AMR list is near useless now because it's had such a huge volume of submissions. The article directory site owners probably have either closed their article directory down or just don't have the time to approve the huge amount of submissions they get.

From what I gather Google is against paid links. AMR submits to article directories so it isn't a paid form of backlinking like a blog network such as BMR is.

I have used AMR with pretty good success. You do have the option of using the scheduling feature. Sending 20 - 60 articles out at a time everyday. It works great. A lot of the articles aren't auto accepted, so it won't be too much. They get accepted over time, I never had much problems with it personally.

The default list is not the best, you will need to scrape your own sites.

The difficulty seems to be getting a good list which hasn't been saturated.
I added a list of 9000 directories a while ago, but only about 1000 of them successfully registered and it failed on the majority of submissions. I think it took hours to add the list also so it was a waste of time.

When you scrape your own list, do you only add directories which are at least PR1+ or do you not take PR into consideration?

From what i've heard, there is no point in using the scheduling feature because as you say the articles get accepted over time and not at once.

With all of the blog network deindexing that is going on by google, I had thought the same thing. I no longer use AMR for direct linking, not even for deep linking. I use it for web 2.0's as was recommended to me by a close friend and SEO expert.

It's not going to hurt your rankings, at worst it will have no effect. If it was ranking your website high, and then the links are nullified, you'll drop in rank.. but it's not a penalty.

I use AMR quite often with no problems. Everyone here is right.

Will it hurt your site? YES if you blast a new site and get 200-300 auto-approve links it will cause your site to be crushed.

Is it best to use on your Tier 2 links? SURE! It can help push some link juice along (and this is the way it will help you rank).

Can you drip feed them to avoid any trouble? YES!

And that is what I do. I write an article, manually spin it to about 50-60 percent (you don't have to spin it at all!) Then I select 10-15 anchor texts (not my main keyword, just phrase matches and a few LSI matches) and then 'visit here', 'click here', 'check this out' for good measure.

Select the sites that you have livelinks from (I have about 400) and drip feed your article to them at 5-10 a day. This creates some major anchor text diversity. These sites are not going to rank you anyway, so I just use them for that. Then when I get serious about my main keywords, I can use them with impunity more or less.

More than anything, I think such tactics are going to be increasingly ineffective. If it hurts your rankings, it will probably be due to the fact that you spent the time and effort on AMR when you could have been doing something to build more effective links that could last.

Create high quality web 2.0 blogs, point them on your money site , blast the hell out of those web 2.0. If you have some low competition keywords you can blast your money site , but i would advise to use unique high quality spunned article and drip feed with 15-20 max articles per site daily, also be sure to make anchor text variations.

AMR is a great tool, but always keep link velocity and anchor text variations in mind. Not just when building links through AMR, but through any other means.
