I fixed the damage BMR did to my site!

September 2010 I launched my first real website for my carpet cleaning business, I was excited because I knew the revenue I would gain by being number one for carpet cleaning in my area.

July 2011 I was on the bottom of page two and I was growing impatient, I was doing normal backlinking until I read about BMR. I singned up and got to work making posts and then outsoursing posts to keep up with the ten a day allowed.
Hell I even had my 16 year old daughter writing posts for me.

September 2011 my site vanishes from google, I was not deindexed but just no where to be found, I never blamed BMR but after two months I figured google just did not like my site so I made a new site and forgot about my original site and I stopped using BMR. My new site made it to the first page of google in about two months and is slowly climbing to the top.

March 2012 news breaks about BMR being deindexed and that they were shutting down, I read the press release and noticed they were offering to remove all posts and backlinks from thier network. I picked the option to have all my posts removed from BMR. Last tuesday all my posts were removed from BMR, this morning I woke up and checked my serps and to my surprise my original site was back and it is currently on page one for almost all of my keywords.
Now I have two websites sitting on page one for my keywords

Is it a coincident that less than a week after I have my BMR posts removed that all of a sudden my site is back?

Actually, yes, it could be a coincidence.

I'd love to see more real case studies on this.

BMR did nothing but great things for my websites. It may have had to do with over optimized anchor text tripping a filter. Link building is a very delicate process sometimes and a little too much of this or that can cause a penalty. I don't think BMR was to blame though because when used properly it was incredible.

If there really is a filter that caused me the penalty than it would have been from the BMR posts because I did post over 400 bmr posts using only two anchors.

That was it. You need to diversify your anchor text ... I usually go for at least 6 different anchor texts per page.
