Blogposts, Blogroll and Forum sig..... Help please

Hello,

I am thinking of additional promoting a site that I own, Im new to SEO and website design. I have the following options :

1) Blog posts : Around 10USD for PR5. I dont know what will the PR of my post be? What are the questions I should ask for the seller of this?

2) Links in Blogrolls, are these any good? Even if not in my niche? If its at 1/2 the price of a contextual, which should I use? How long will these remain? Can I ask the seller to enforce that it stays for a premium?

3) I have an account on another forum within my niche, it has over 1000 posts, If i added my site to the sig. now, will google consider this as blackhat as all of a sudden 1000 links have been indexed?
ah by the way, is WF signatures dofollow and public?


I know i've asked too much, I learn from you guys and thanks a lot in advance for your support

    If it was me I would not buy any blog post

    and

    I would not buy any links in any blog roll and especially if its not in my niche

    and I would go ahead and add that signature to those thousand post I have
    only if they were in the same niche...

    and I wouldn't really worry about if the WF signatures are do follow or not...

      Edwin, Im trying my best to go for Whitehate techniques, I dont even spin articles!
      If I will not be buying links as mentioned above, then it would take average 10x the time to get my site ranked.
      Also, I consider servies that auto backlink unsafe, especially after google de-indexed BMR!!!
      About WF, I do gain knowledge from folks here everyday, so it was just a question, not something that would dictate if I like WF or not

        as you wish, do not use blackhat. but what of ashhat?

        I will suggest you go for quality links. I have learnt my lesson that 10 quality links is better than 1000 bad backlinks. I wasn't believe this until i made a trial and the result is overwhelm.

        And to know that a backlink is dofollow is not a problem. Just highlight the signature link after a post and right-click on the selected link and select view source code.

        If nofollow is not in the html code that pop-up then you have a dofollow backlink.

          Option 1 will help you rank best in my opinion - the PR of your post will almost certainly be n/a. If your post appears on the homepage it will roll off when other posts are made. Ask if the content is spun - if it is then this is high risk, low quality network and you should avoiding or paying a lot less.

          Option 3 is safe is probably quite safe.

          Option 2 can work but it's a high risk for most people - i'd avoid this one.

    Actually there is no reason to get links just for the sake of the links, you should make "connections" you can try finding forex/finance related blogs and start commenting and sharing your knowledge with others in that way you can get traffic, build relations with the bloggers and their audience and at the same time get backlinks. Then you can ask the bloggers to let you write guest posts on their blogs which will bring traffic to your site, help you establish as an expert on your field and get valuable contextual links. This is the best way to make your site more popular and actually the "faster". If you publish a lot of guest posts on popular blogs you will not only rank better on Google but you will also get a lot of traffic thru these blogs, you will get repetive visitors and it will be much more possible other sites to link to yours without asking them...
