Is it really that easy?

I have got dozens of WSOs, ant the keys to success seems to boil down to, write or buy good content, for high search key words that have low competition. Create some 'quality' back-links (what ever that is), and you will appear on the first page of the SERP. That will get you traffic to your page and if your sales pitch is compelling, you will make sales, or if your articlr is good, people will click on your AdSense or other ads you have on your site.

If it was that easy, then wouldn't we all be making millions?

Maybe I have crappy content. I buy as best as I can afford. I can't write for ****e so I have to buy it. I haven't got much money either.

I had a few pages on the first page of Google on one site. I made $40 one month, but my listings slipped a bit and I am back to around $20 a month again.

I signed up with Kelly Felix's program, and am reading similar things. I got to thinking, what is he telling me that is different than I have read before? The frustration is getting to me again. But I can't give up as being on disability, I see this as my only way out. I am wondering if I just don't have the basic talents it takes to be in IM.

Not sure why I am sharing this with everyone. If anyone has any comments, I would be happy to read them.

  • No, it's not that easy. A few years ago it was. Text content is not that compelling. I make more sales from YouTube videos that from search these days.
  • It's easy, if you think outside the box that is.

There is so much money to be made online THIS is the future.

Think outside the box and the money will flow

    • Tim, stop wasting your money.

Bug myth that content is king.

There is no such thing as crappy content.

      Only crappy websites.

Either one can make money and be quite valuable.

I have not paid for articles in at least 3 years.

I only add new articles, maybe, about 1 every 3 months
for each site I own, if that.

      Put your efforts elsewhere.

      Paul

The thing I've noticed about the Warrior forum is, the majority of forum members think content is articles & only articles, or even a smaller group might assume their only other option is video (If not articles).

The majority of my sites content is downloadable zip files with a niche specific format inside the file, think photoshop type niche files, only that's not my file type, still similar.

On 3 of my sites I have thousands of pages (combined) that have maybe one sentence description per page.

I get a lot of repeat traffic on those sites because I do one thing & one thing only, I deliver files (content) that people want & I do that for free, for the most part. That's my traffic lure.

My point here is, their are hundreds/thousands of ways to get traffic on your sites/pages. I don't deal with text/articles (except for one site) because that's not enjoyable for me, heck I write 99% more here on the forums than I write on my own sites.

Here is a very good example of how to monetize traffic with very little text.

Adding a new ad unit helps Concertboom boost revenue 400% while maintaining site quality - Inside AdSense

The guy in the link above sells concert tickets, it's just an example & like already mentioned above "Think outside the box".

Look how simple his pages are Chicago Symphony Orchestra Tickets Chicago | Chicago Symphony Orchestra in Chicago | Concertboom, my own Adsense pages are just as simple. IMO the more distractions on a page the lower your conversion rates will be (keep the pages simple).

Make your goal to be, do something very sub niche & do it very well.

BTW, I create 100% of my own files & they are all legal.
  • Tim, stop reading and start writing. That should do it.

That's totally my point above in my last comment (no disrespect).

OP said he doesn't like writing, so don't write, do what you know & enjoy & can do on your own.

Again, all you need is a traffic lure, that lure does not have to be text/articles.

If articles was the only way to make money online, I would have gave up years ago (writing is boring IMO).
    • If writing was all it took, then I could make it by outsourcing that. I suck at writing. I owned a site with three other people and they told me to quit contributing due to the terrible content I produced. That is why I only buy my content.

Not only that, but since a surgery recently, I now have very limited use of my left hand after the surgeon cut nerves in my left arm. It takes me for ever to type with just one finger.

Thanks for all your input folks. I appreciate your help.
