High competitive keyword?

I want to rank on top position on this keyword Acting School in Mumbai right now i am coming at 3rd position i have done lots of directory,bookmarking,classifieds, forum etc but my position is same as it is. can anybody tell me what to do now reply ASAP???????????

  • What's your domain age?And How long have you been backlinking?Sometimes you have to wait several months.

    By the way,Install SEO quake plugin to firefox and trace your competitiors pages.You can check domain age,backlinks number and etc.

    • 3 Position is not bad. Just go thru the visitors analysis. If you are not getting enough visitors, then you should worry about it, otherwise not. Although, for getting 1st position, make proper link building strategies after analyzing your competitors.
      Domain age is not the factor for SERP.
  • There are many ways to check out the links your competitors have, I use Market Samurai for this.

    Simply check out the links they have and try and get the same links to your site.

    Furthermore, it is not necessarily about the links you have, it may be that your competitors site has been better optimized which all being equal is more than likely the case.

    Or that the content on their site is of better quality to your own.

    • Ok. if you are talking about srm film school website which is ranking on third position for your given keyword, then i have one solution on it. Add your keyword 4 to 5 times on the page and the targeted keyword must be added on the first line of your content. It will help you to rank better on search engine. Also check your competitor website and find out from where they are getting backlink. If you manage to generate backlink from same site which they have, then your website will push them back.
  • Continue your good work until you reach the target. For new domain it takes time. Only use white hat techniques. Beside this, you can do negative SEO for your competitor.
  • If your competitors have a strong image in search engines means they have more old age domains, more number of links from quality sources then you have to work hard to beat them. Try to build quality back links from different SEO sources to get a good back link value in Google and other search engines
  • Go with higher quality links with varying anchor text. You might also want to make sure that you are getting all the help that you can from the site itself (on-page seo). In addition, get a content strategy in place for the site if you do not already have one.

    • Great! You've got the 3rd position and that's really good! Keep continue your good work but now try to get quality backlinks using that targeted keyword. I also agree with others here, try to do your competitors analysis in a constructive way.
